Houston YT Meetup Hey, everyone. I was wondering if the meetup at the Millie Bush Bark Park on Oct. 13th is still on? If so, has there been a time set? I've been watching but I've not seen any updates. Sorry if I missed it and sorry if this post is in the wrong forum. Thanks. |
I was wondering the same thing. I came to this part of the board to see if there were any updates and saw your thread. I also asked on the other one if we were still on for the 13th. I'm planning to go if it's still gonna happen. |
I really wanted to meet up with everyone but I forgot I am going to the Pet Fest in Old Town Springs that day. I thought more people would have been into meeting up again but on the thread I posted before, not many people responded. |
Angie and Heather - We were also going to the meetup on Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th, we are going to the Old Towne Spring Pet Fair. Well..... maybe we should have the meetup on Saturday at the pet fair. LOL. |

Just tell me where to be and I'll try to be there (as long as it's not too much further away). I still can't guarantee anything because of my company coming that weekend but I'm wanting to try. Where exactly is this Pet Fair thing? I'm not all that familar with the Houston area. I live in Brenham and would be coming in on 290 normally but I think Spring is best gotten to from a different direction if I remember right. Is there any kind of address to this place that I can mapquest so I can see how far it is for me? Edited to say..... I AM thinking right, aren't I? Isn't the "town of Spring" sometimes called Old Town Spring? Is that what ya'll are talking about? |

Hmmmm..... so if Tatum and I go to that, I could hang with ya'll?? I don't have anyone else that can come with me that day and I hate hanging out by myself in a strange place. I'm a serious weanie when it comes to getting lost in a strange town though! :p Would ya'll be willing to share your cell numbers with me so I can call when/if (LOL) I find the parking lot?? |
MBP or OTS??? So the Millie Bush Park is out now?:( We were planning to go there. The Pet Fest is going to be packed and the parking is awful there. It is also hard to find people once you get inside. don't get me wrong, it's a great place to go and visit but not conducive to large groups that want to meet up and there is no place for the dogs to run around freely. Just a thought. We were really hoping to meet at the MBP so that it would have a nice place for all the furbabies to run around safely. OTS has no fenced in area that i am aware of and the cars are everywhere so it wouldn't be safe for the kidz to be off leash anywhere. I hope everyone that was going to meet on the 13th at MBP will weigh in and let everyone else know what their thoughts are! We would LOVE to go to the MBP if that is still on...:thumbup: |

I am still willing to meet up at Millie Bush. I didn't see any responses besides the couple people going to the Pet Fair. That's why I figured I would need to go there to see anybody. If there is still going to be a meetup at the park, I would rather go there but I still can't guarantee anything because of my company that's coming to town. But don't dismiss the park idea just because Heather and I talked about meeting up in Spring. I'd rather be at a place where I can let Tatum off leash - maybe this time she will actually socialize. ;) |
Hi, I'd like to attend the park meet up. I have 2 yorkies, not sure if I will bring the two. Will there be a specific place & time to meet. I also wanted to know how do we let the pups roam free, are there gated sections for different size dogs. Zander is a wonderer and I'm always paranoid of loosing him. Thanks for any info. |
Hello to all :) We are new to YT and this would be our first Meetup. I live in Pasadena so I would be able to make the Millie Bush location but not the other one. It's too far and I have family coming in to visit. Please post if we are going to met and at what time. |

meetup this coming Saturday 11:00!! Sounds good to us!! Don't know if we can stay that long but we will be there around 11 and can stay maybe an hour or two at the most. Can't wait to meet everyone...hope the weather holds out and it doesn't rain like it did here this past weekend. If anyone has been there before (we haven't) is there a good place to meet that has the covered area??? Please advise so we know where to go. Hubby and I will be there this Saturday at 11:00 am! To answer some questions about the park - There is one covered area with benches. The areas are separated for large and small dogs and is fenced. The parking lot is a pretty good size and is free. The small dog section is on the far right as you face the park. Looks like Tatum and I will be at the MBP meet-up also on Saturday. I do want to try out the Pet Fair in Spring next year though. Hope to see a nice crowd there on Saturday..... and fingers crossed for nice weather. Last time we had a meet-up in Houston, I drove through hard rain (from Brenham) to find the weather was clear inside Houston. Then drove through even HARDER rain to get home to Brenham. We got lucky at the park that day. |
Sprout is sad that he will not be able to see all his girl friends. My great-niece is turning 3 and having a birthday party. Maddie, Rudy, and Polly are sad too. Have a great time and take lots of pic's, see you at the next meet-up. |
