September Austin Meet-up
 
If you are in or around the Austin area mark your calendars for September 22nd. at 10:00 am! We are going to have a yorkie meet up at the City of Austin dog park called West Austin Park. The park is located at 1317 W. 10th St. I do not have a map there but here is a link to the City of Austin dog park information and it is the second one from the bottom. http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/parks/dogparks.htm

I know some other Yorkie owners in Austin and they will also be there. Right now its about 10 people and their dogs.

I would like to come but have 3 new babies that will only be 1 month old, I think that is too young to bring them:confused: Maybe the next one when they are older:confused: This is the one I've been waiting for, Austin:(

Just a reminder that the Austin Yorkie meet up is this up coming weekend. Saturday September 22 at 10:00 am at the West Austin dog park!!!! Come and bring your fur babies!!!!!

Has anyone been to this dog park before? If so, could you give me some directions? Just thought it would be easier for someone to talk me through it than mapquest. Sometimes those sites can be more confusing than helpful! I am so excited!!!

Otherwise there would have been none today! I had the camera and my pups, but no other yorkies! It is a fantastic little dog park though, with a tight fence. Tbone has a knack for finding little holes in fences that he can squeeze through. The park was made all from citizen donation, and they still owe a contractor for the work that is done, so they are having a fundraiser next Saturday evening from 5 to 8. They will have a silent auction and dinner, plus fun dog contests. So, I will be there again on September 29th, even if I am the only YT'er again!

darn, I missed this...I didn't see it, but I don't get off work until 10:00 on Sat's. anyways. Darn, darn.....
is this a big dog park, big dogs? off leash? I may take mine one day just to check it out.

There is plenty of room, but it isn't as big as a football field. The park is nice, and there weren't very many dogs there this morning. I think that it is busiest around 5 or a little bit later because most people in the neighborhood bring their dogs when they get off work. It is off leash, and my dogs played with a great dane today.

Sorry I didnt go to the yorkie meet up:-( CoCo was in heat and I thought it would be a good idea not to take her. So anyways I just went to Lofty Dog downtown and they are willing to put on a October Halloween YT meet up for us there. They just opened Monday and thought it would be a great idea to do the october meet up there. So let me know on your suggestions.

I don't know anything about Lofty Dog downtown - you'll have to give me a clue as to what/where.

Hey I just got back again today from Lofty Dog, and CoCo went with me in her new orange Halloween dress and her orange bow, that we got yesterday from Lofty Dog. They are excited about hosting a YT event for us in October I am not sure which date we want yet, but they are giving out trick or treat bags to the dogs with sample of food and treats. We bought a lot of cute new outfits there as well, including a cute Texas Jersey, and a off the shoulder pink and black shirt and denim skirt. But it is on 2nd street between Guadalupe and San Antonio! Here is the website http://www.austinloftydog.com/index.html if you want to go check it out. Also like I said before they will host an October Austin YT Halloween meet up for us. I will start a new thread to figure out dates!
