Arizona, we are coming to you! Hi everyone! Bobbi, Melody and I are partially moved into sunny Arizona. We are tying lose ends here in Connecticut and will soon be fully moved. Looking forward to meeting other YTer's and furbabies. We have never been to a meet so we are up for fun in the sun! (Thank God there is no more snow :p ) |
Let me be the first to welcome you to Arizona! Where are you going to be living? As soon as it cools down like probably Octoberish I'm going to be working on trying to organize a get together since I don't think there has been one here since Febuary. I am also a transplant here so if you have questions or need any info trying to figure out this sometimes complicated state just let me know and I'd be happy to help you out in any way I can... |
Have a safe journey. Look at you Jess, already made a friend in Arizona and your not even there yet. Your such a sweet person Jessy you'll have no trouble adjusting and making new friends. Hugs to the furbabies, |

Where did you move from and how has it been? :) |
Where are you moving too? My family is in Anthem. I will be visiting in early January with all the pups! I want to plan a mini YT - Yorkie Meetup when I am there ;) |

Hmm...Yuma, that's like the best of both worlds being your at almost the half way point between both Phx and then San Diego where distance is concerned. The dunes in Yuma look pretty neat! I saw them for the first time about a year ago. I am originally from Minnesota. As far as how it's been....well, I do enjoy the winter weather here! The summer temps though...ugh! I just had my a/c in the house go out on Sunday when it was 114 degree's. It does start to get to you after a while. As does the lack of precip...Because of the high temps it makes meeting people harder. If your young I suggest you involve yourself in as many activities as possible to meet new people. People seem to be nice they just don't go out of their way to be friendly. It's just a very different way of life than what I was used to. |

I LOVE Yuma, and believe it or not, the snow birds do not bother me. I am 25 :p I really liked Tucson as well  |
welcome to AZ!!! Hello and welcome to Arizona!!!! If you are tired of shovelling snow, you will love it. I live in Chandler Heights, 40 miles southeast of Phoenix. Welcome to a Piece of Heaven! My husband and I moved to Tucson from Long Island 15 years ago and have NEVER regreted it! Once we went back to Long Island for Christmas and each of our children said, "Thank you so much for moving us away from here!" We love the mountains, the sunsets and sunrises, the cacti, the desert creatures, the slower pace of life, the influence of the Native and Mexican cultures, the stars in the sky at night, the wide horizon.... If you have one tenth the happiness we have had because we moved here, then your life will be richly blessed!! Welcome to Arizona (you've GOT to visit Sedona!!) Joan |
