New Dog Park in Houston Open
 
The dog park in Bear Creek opened on May 2. I don't know if anyone knows but it seems like I'm the only one there every weekend! :rolleyes: This one is bigger than Millie. In comparison, Bear Creek is approximately 34-35 acres and has a 4000-foot granite walking trail and Millie is 14-acres.

For those who doesn't know where Bear Creek is, it is located in NW Houston right off of Hwy 6. THe physical address of the park is 3201 N Hwy 6 (instersecting with Groeschke Rd)

May I add that this park has agility equipment as well

cool.. I need to check that park out one weekend. I dont live to far from Bear Creek park. Where is the entrance from if i'm taking Clay rd.? Drove by many time but dont know where the dog park entrance locate at.

Well-there is the one this weekend-but I remember you posting saying you can't make it. There is nothing set yet for after that.......

Hmm..if I'm not mistaken the park is just south of Clay road. If you're coming from I-10, I believe it would be on your right hand side. Don't take my word on it though..:D

I'm up for seeing the new one. Sounds neat. We should consider trying that park at the next meetup..... I sincerely hope there will be another after the one this weekend (the 26th). I certainly can't wait to meet everyone on Saturday!

Sounds like a neat place. we will have to check it out too. We are in SL so are not too far from Bear Creek. Wish we could make the YT meetup this weekend and hopefully, there will be another one were we can go!!

Yes, I wish there will be another one that we can go to. It would be really nice to finally meet someone who has the same interest.

COOL on Bear Creek Dog Park - I live about 10 mins from Millie Dog Park - 20 from Bear Creek and will be going to the new park off 610 loop and Westpark this weekend to meet MORE YT PEOPLE !! I'm really looking forward to Saturday

so I have it straight - 1:30 PM on Saturday right girls ??? I need the name of the park again lol - I'm off to go look for the thread -

and xBUTTERCUPx - one day I'll come meet you at Bear creek - I used to hang out there all the time

Oh, Villette.... you threw me for a minute there! I was planning on being there at 10:00 and I thought I was gonna be sitting there by myself until the afternoon! You better be there at 10:00! Can't wait to meet all of you!

I had a little favor though to ask of ya'll..... do any of you that will be there Saturday make bows with french barrettes? Someone made Tatum a couple of them and the kind of barrette she used (kinda like a french barrette but not really - don't know what it's called) is just too small. I was able to pry a barrette off an old smooshed bow that we had and glue it to one of her new bows but I need one more. I'm sure you can get these at craft stores but not sure how many you have to buy. I just need ONE. If any of you have one of those and will be there Saturday, I'd love to buy one off of you.

Awww, man..... looks like a really high chance of rain on Saturday. I'm trying to be optimistic BUT do we have a rain-out backup location? Is there a covered area at the park or something? I SO want to do this so I'm hoping there's some sort of optional plan.... just in case.

LOL !! I'm planning to be there unless it's lightening and thunder - it's not bad today but I don't know what tommorrow is going to bring and I got you covered on the bows girlfriend :D

Actually I am only seeing a slight chance for rain, 20%. Luckily, lately, it has been raining (if at all) in the later afternoon once it really heats up....Hopefully we'll be okay. You can never really tell in Texas huh?
