TEXAS Meetup OKay I am going to make it official. Lets have a meetup the 2nd weekend in May on that Saturday. That would be Saturday the 13th. I think it sounds like the southlake dog park would be the best place since they have more flexible rules. I'll get the exact name of that park and locations. I still havent figured out an exact time. What time would ya'll like to do it? Mid afternoon? |
Sounds like a plan to me. How about after lunch sometime? |
Sounds great...if we can make we will defintley be there!! We had so much fun at the last one!! I would say late afternoon, like 3-5pm, so we miss the heat of the day!! |
I am sorry but I won't be able to attend. Vacation plans in May. I hope you have a great turnout and lots of fun with good weather. |
Take lots of pictures for me! |

that being said. the southlake dog park is very shaded and i wouldn't mind coming at that time. COUNT US IN! |
Have we decided on a time yet? I also what should each of bring for our pups and for us (ie. snacks, toys, drinks, etc....)? |
Wow, I just caught this thread by mistake. Is it too late for me to be involved in this. My wife and I have been to that dog park in southlake and they have a section for big dogs and small dogs but the section for small dogs was stark empty. So we stayed there for an hour playing with our dog by ourselves and feeling like idiots. That would be a great park for a meetup because from what we can tell it's not very crowded there and very shaded. I will keep checking back for a time but whatever you guys decides we will be on board. |
Oh and be forewarned, I'm not sure how big your dogs are but mine weighs 5.2 pounds and she can actually walk right out of the gates at that southlake park. If your dog is prone to being an escape artist be careful. The park is called Bob Jones park and the address is 3500 N. White Chapel Road in Southlake. When you get into the park go to the end of that first driveway and go right, you will see the dog park portion come up on the left. |
I think that the second weekend in May, the 13th, is what we decided on....and the best time for us is after 3pm...but whatever everyone decides will work!! Our girls are definetly looking forward to it.... |
Yay!!! I cant wait until the 13th!!! :p Who all is coming? |
Rocky and I will be attending. |

Im bringing chloe and my best friend is bringing Rambo and I might bring Tinkerbell too. I dont know yet about Tink though, because she can be quite a nut sometimes and she is shy around people :D |
Hubby and I are looking forward to an outting with the boy and meeting other local yorkie owners!! Here's directions and a map if anyone needs it (pdf): http://www.booboosbuddies.com/dogparkdirections.pdf |
So 4pm is definitely the time? Thats cool. I hope its not 100 degrees that day. Oh and for the record some of us will experience house envy on the way to that park. The houses over there seem to all be worth millions and they are beautiful. |
Oh this sounds like so much fun, and we were waiting for a Dallas area meetup! We're very sad that we'll be in Austin that weekend!! :( Take lots of pictures and please promise we'll plan another one in the future... |
