Just an example, I know every dog is different, but my Bella (4.2 lbs.) plays very well with my dad's Boston/Rat Terrier mix (19 lbs!!).....as long has he keeps his pouncing/stomping feet away from her head that is  She LOVES Buddy and gets very excited when she knows where we are!! Soooo, we hope to see you AND your fur-baby there!! :D |
Can you add a friend of mine Brenda and her yorkie Maddie. |
Change in venue!!!! [I am in the process of sending PM's out to everyone confirmed to attend (and everyone still considering attending), so please check your inbox for that message!] Since our numbers have grown so much from what we originally anticipated, the space we had reserved at Paws and Claws in Moore will most certainly be too small for us now. So, we have changed the location of the OK Meetup to the NORTH ROOM of the Cleveland County Fairgrounds in Norman (see below for directions). The event will still be Feb. 7th at 1:00 pm, just as before, and we will still need to bring our own chairs (BYOC!) as well as any snacks/drinks to share. The ONLY thing that has changed is the LOCATION! I truly hope this hasn't changed anyone's ability to come, but if it has, please PM me to let me know! Thank you, and I look forward to meeting everyone on the 7th!!! :D |

it's only about 10 mins south of paws and claws.. so it's not that much farther! |
would love to come I hadn't been on here in a while and i'm so glad I checked in. I will be there with 2 humans and 4 dogs. Cann't wait to come. |
BIG Reminder! [I have sent PM's to everyone confirmed to attend and interested in attending, so please check your inboxes for those messages!] Here's another copy of the invite just as a reminder: When: Saturday, February 7th @ 1pm Where: NORTH ROOM of the Cleveland County Fairgrounds in Norman (Directions can be found on this page, above, post #49) What will it cost?....Not a thing!! Special Instructions: ALL Yorkies (including Yorkie mixes AND non-YT members….the more the merrier!! ) are invited, as well as their owners!! (Other fur-siblings are welcome too, provided they are small dogs (<10-ish lbs is probably a good guideline). Also, we will need to clean up after ourselves and our pups. ) Seating: This is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair ) event!! Refreshments: We will be bringing our own—please bring any snack-y type finger food, dessert, OR drink to share, your choice!! (Cups and plates will be taken care of!) Every “party” attending will receive a gift bag! And we will have a few door prizes as well!! Also, remember to bring your cash if you’d like to participate in the raffle. We have received quite a few really nice donated items that we will be raffling off with the proceeds benefiting the OKYR. Tickets are $2 per chance to win, or 3 for $5!! And, there will be a donation jar to help with the building rental fee, but donations are NOT mandatory by any means!! I’m also working on setting up a backdrop where you may choose to have your dog’s picture taken…the “sitting fee” will be $2, and the web address where the pictures will be uploaded will be provided to you where you can save and print them yourself or order prints at your convenience….much more cost effective than having a “photographer” present! (My bf and I took Bella’s Halloween pics which are posted in my album if you’d like to see an example.) I will also be taking candid “parti pics” throughout the event and will upload those photos to the same web address so that everyone can access them! If you haven't confirmed but would like to, OR if you have a friend/family member who is interested incoming too, please PM me with your numbers (how many humans and furkids will be in your "party")!! Also, if your situation has changed and you're no longer able to attend, OR your numbers have changed, PM me with that info as well! Thanks!! I hope to see you ALL there!! :D |

If we didn't have a Valentine's banquet to go to on Sat. eve. I would have loved to have driven down to OC to meet some of the faces behind the names I see here on YT. Maybe another time. Never been to a meet-up. Have fun everyone!!!! ~Joanne~ |

Also, just so everyone has an idea....counting everything separately, it looks like we'll have 23 raffle items!!! I know everyone is going to want to be a part of that.....they are really awesome!! :D Can't wait to see you all in just 2 DAYS!!! |
Wanting a Yorkie Pup.... I have been waiting about a year and a half to get another dog (already have one small female rat terrier) and after much thought and research I have decided that my choice is to get a female Yorkie Puppy. I would like to get an AKC Yorkie and something that fits into the AKC guidelines for color, conformation and size. I can't have anything over 7lbs when mature- due to weight limits on most Airlines. I work for an airline and when I go visit family, I take them with me inside the cabin in thier own little flight bag. :p Sophie, my rat terrier is a very neat little dog and she just loves everyone. She needs a little friend to run and play with! Anyways, If anyone has any suggestions as to who is a reputable breeder in the OKC/Norman/Ardmore area and does not charge a fortune for their puppies, feel free to let me know. Thanks bunches! |
