I have 4 little yorkie girls. Two are elderly and the other two are 1 1/2 and 3 yrs. We live in Brooks whick is about 9 miles south of Fayetteville.:)

Blue Ridge Georgia every year. This year we are hoping for snow...we missed it last year by one day:( Hopefully, one day we will be living there as we truly love it. Are there any things you can do with your furbaby in your area:confused:

We moved here from Florida back in 89. We love it here. Feels like we are on vacation everyday, well when we get home from work. Still have to work and pay the bills. You can take your dogs everywhere mostly - walk in the parks to the waterfalls, walk through the town, etc.. There are some nice parks also in Cumming if you want to jog. We also have a doggypaloosa at the local dog food/suppy store. They do a lot for our pets. We also have a fun match with rally and obediance and North Ga college has a group with dogs tha have their Good Citizen titles that visit the local schools and hospitals.

I think we may get snow, a lot of it this year. The weather has been wetter and colder now. Also the caterpillars have a lot of wool on them this year - wooly caterpillars. Old wives tales - if the wooly caterpillars are very wolly and you see a lot of them - expects a lot of snow. I have a photo of our snow from 2 years ago. I will have to find it for you.

Georgia yorkie puppy for sale
 
I got my male yorkie from a wonderful breeder in Douglasville, Ga. His doggie mom and dad have a new litter. The breeder has 1 male yorkie, 9 weeks old if anyone is interested. The puppy I got from her is the sweetest most loving puppy. He was in excellent health and well behaved.

I am a Yorkie mom in Marietta. I have 2 Yorkies, Bailey 12 years and Maya 5 months (my female passed a year ago). They are wonderful dogs!

Hi, I'm Denise. This thread has been on here for quite awhile. I've posted before, but I've got 4 in my gang now, only had three then. I'm on the coast of Georgia in Brunswick. Anyone near me?

I am in Kennesaw which is North of Atlanta, I have a brother that lives at St. Simons Island. I had 2 yorkies but got my 3rd one last week, more to love.

Hi everyone!!
My mom moved to Tucker, Georgia 2 years ago. I just got back from visiting her for Thanksgiving. She has one of my girls baby. The cutest little 1 and half pounder at 7 months. Trust me she has a HUGE ego despite her size. She knows she is the princess of the house!!!

Hello to all!!!

I am new to the site and glad to have found a thread with people in Georgia. I am located in stone mountain, ga just east of atlanta. I am SOOO EXCITED!!!....I will be picking up my first yorkie baby on Jan. 23rd he will be 8 weeks old, and I had a couple of questions.

Does anyone know of a good and reputable vet in atlanta? I would like to find one before I get my puppy.
What kind of experience have people had with Banfield? I have read horrible reviews on google.
What age is okay to have my puppy nuetured?

Good breeders no not usually release puppies before 12 weeks. Is the breeder providing you with any health guarantees? It is a good idea to have your puppy tested for a liver shunt (bile acid test) this is a serious disease that affects Yorkies.
Your puppy should be neutered at 6-7 months, this is also a good time to have their teeth checked to be sure that baby and adult teeth are not coming in together. I good book for you to read is "Yorkshire Terriers For Dummies". I found it very helpful.
I do not have a vet suggestions for you area of town, I live in Marietta. I hope you are blessed with a happy healthy puppy.

Congrats on your new yorkie . I live near the chamblee Tucker area and my vet is really nice and affordable. Even though you stay in stone mountain Decatur village vets are nice and maybe 30 min from you since you may have easy access to you.

He comes with a year genetic warranty. Thank you for the advice, and I will be sure to look for that book before I get him. Any vet recommendation is fine, it doesn't have to be in my area. I actually work in marietta.
