Alabama Yorkie Meet-up! Okay, it's time for us to figure out a time and place so we can all meet up with our pups. I know we all live from N. Alabama to the coast so where do you all think it should be? I definitely think it should be in April or early May. It will already be getting hot but at least not JULY HOT. lol Anytime and anywhere is fine with me (oh except from April 11 thru April 20, Mandie is having surgery on the 11th so I don't want to overdo before she recoups). Let's get this goin' on! :D |
I'm game. Ill meet my friends anywhere! |
We'd love to! Can I bring Mollie too? She's my moms Maltese. We'd love to meet you guys! We are still upset we missed the meetup in OH while we were living in PA! |

Ok, so I think April 20th at 1pm unless anyone ends up having a conflict. Now let's all decide where. I'm nominating my back yard 10 minutes north of Montgomery in Millbrook :D Throw some ideas out there. Mel - you can come - hop on a plane!! ;) |

New Member to Yorkie Talk Hi I am new to Yorkie Talk saw your thread about the Yorkie Alabama Meetup and I don't mean to intrude however, I live in Dothan Al and am mom to 5 beautiful AKC registered yorkies and your thread was of interest. I came across in the forums about an Alabama Yorkie Club...would you happen to know about that club? Also, I am wondering if anyone could help me as I am currently searching for a responsible breeder aound the Dothan, Enterprise, Ozark area in hopes of finding a small 3-5lb AKC stud as I currently have 2 females in heat. They are 5lb and 8lb respectively. A little about myself..My name is Gina and as said I live in Dothan, AL with my husband and yorkies. I have had yorkies for almost 30 years. My fist yorkie Miko lived to be over 19. I lost him in 2006. It totally broke my heart. I am so glad I found this website..it's great to have a place to talk about my favorite subject. I'm still working my way around the website trying to get used to it so please have patience with me. Thank you |
Welcome Gina. I don't know who used to be in charge of the Alabama Yorkie Club. So, Terri(MandiesMom) is hosting a meetup for all of our lovely Alabama YT members. I'm no help as I do not know of any breeders in AL. How blessed you are to have 5 sweet babies! |

I really hope you can make it to the Meet-up next month. I will be sending out my addy and directions when it gets closer to time and we have a good list of who is coming. I would highly recommend that you post a question about breeding in the breeder's talk section of the forum. I'm not sure of any AKC breeders in Alabama, but mostly there ARE some experienced breeders with a wealth of knowledge that can talk to you. There is a lot that goes into breeding (such as genetic testing and health concerns). I know you have had Yorkies for 30 years so I am sure you know a lot more than I do. These breeders though can really help answer questions and give all info that you need. Again, hope you can make the meet-up! Would love to meet you! :) |
Going furniture shopping today - I mean if hubby says I must, I must. Woohoo! :) |
I would like to come too! We're in Atlanta so just a few hours away. I have some family there so would be nice to make a one time trip. |
