Found a NC Breeder - anybody familar with ekkennels.com? I am looking for a male standard size Yorkie. I live in Charlotte, NC. Charlotte. com has an ad for ekkennels located near Hickory, NC. Thanks for your help, Bonnie |
mmm....I looked at their website, it saids that its 6 different breeders, but they are a lot of different breeds there and designer dogs...i personally dont feel comfortable about this place. If you want to wait just a little while before getting your puppy, they're a few breeders in NC on this forum you should talk to, I have a breeder picked out in Hendersonville, NC that i could give you her email. As a personaly feeling, i dont trust this kennel. Good luck to you with finding your breeder, if you want to PM me you are more then welcome to! |
It sounds like a puppy broker. Please be careful. |
Thanks so much - I agree also. I checked out breeders.net - continue reading A lot of them seem so expensive. I adopted a 2 year 4 month old male miniature American Eskimo dog from Cullen's Archangel Rescue (foster group) in mid. August. Emerson was rescued from a Greenville, SC humane society. He is wonderful in every way and a real joy. My son (14 years old) would love a Yorkie. I have found one that is a rescue mother that had puppies - up for adoption in a few months but it will be $600. I am looking for a family pet. My son doesn't like the mixed Yorkies. Thanks for your help. I saw the other posts about the breeder in Hendersonville. It's a little far for me with my son playing sports twice a week and practices on the weekend (soccer and basketball over lap right now). Bonnie |
I'm here visiting in Charlotte and found ekkennels' ad in the Observer. No proof, but I am fairly certain they're a puppy mill. I have adopted 2 Yorkie bitches rescued from 2 separate puppy mills and both of them had multiple breeds and similar advertising. I would strongly advise you to not get a dog from there. |
yorkie pups Have you tried [URL="yorkierescue.com"]yorkierescue.com[/URL they have purebred yorkies up for adoption, already spayed and neutered, sometimes housebroken and have had their DHLPP/Rabies shots. It's not the dogs fault that they've been abandoned and they make the most loving little babes. roxanne in NC |
Rescued Yorkies I've had three rescued Yorkies and they have been the best dogs! My latest rescue was from the largest puppy mill in US history. I've posted a video about her first year with me in the Yorkie video thread (http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...er-rescue.html ) There are several other videos of rescued Yorkies in that thread as well. Rest assured, you'll get a great dog for very little money all while being part of the SOLUTION instead of contributing to the problem by buying from these hellholes.:animal-pa |
