vet recommendations for new orleans? I need a good veterinarian in New Orleans. My husband and I took Posie to one last year for her shots and ended up having lots of complications related to dental work that they recommended. We spent 3 months nursing a wound on her left side which could have been the result of a reaction to the shots, a burn from the heating pad during dental work or reaction to medication prescribed following the dental work. She still has a large hairless patch on her side. I know that it sounds crazy, but it happened. I have to take her to the vet for shots again in a few months and I need some recommendations for a good vet in the New Orleans area. I need someone who will listen to what she has been through and treat her accordingly. |
Vet in New Orleans I lived south of New Orleans in Port Sulphur, La. before Katrina. I used a vet in Terrytown or Gretna, La. He was located on Terry Parkway and his name is Joseph DeLucky. We used him for years and was very pleased. We had as many as three dogs and one cat and he was their vet. The name of his clinic is Terrytown Vet Clinic. If you were to use him I know he still remembers the Ballay's. We had a cat that he brought back a couple of times. The cat is still with us and she is 14. Good luck. A good vet is hard to find. |
thanks! someone else recommended dr. delucky, too. he must really be good! |
I dont really know who I would recomment but I would not recommend Causeway Animal Hosp...they treated a dear friend of mine quite horribly, very recently.....he is looking for a good vet now.... good luck! d |
vet in New Orleans area Dr. Adriana Sagrera in Metairie is ABSOLUTELY the best vet I have ever used. Natural Pet Car is her clinic. She looks at all options before treating the pet and uses the least invasive treatment in the best interest of the dog. I drive over two hours to have her treat my animals. She had my shih-tzu poodle mix in remission from his cancer for 3 years without any surgery or chemo and also treated my yorkie for pancreatitis. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her. (but that is just my opinion). She is also a chiropractor for animals. |
