Hey everyone.... We're back... We've moved from Jacksonville to Daytona-actually Port Orange... We have a new addition to the family. We adopted 'Hoover'. Hoover was another trailer park rescue. Yeager is doing great and is getting to know Hoover. Hoover is going to our 'Dog Whisperer' in February for a little training and socialization. Both Yeager and Hoover are 3 yrs old. They are total opposites! They look different and have very different personalities! When asked if they're Yorkies we always reply that we have 'Trailer Trash Terriers'.. LOL!! Miami here...two yorkies, Cooper 1-1/2 years old, who I adopted 2 weeks ago and Lulu, almost 2 years, she came to me at 4 months old.

Meetups
 
Mike (AlaskaYorkie) suggested a website "Meetup.com" I checked it out and it looks like a good start to try and organize meet ups in your area(s). I looked at the Melbourne/Satellite Beach FL area and there were a few people that seemed interested in a meet up. Bob

We have a nice dog park in the community with one for small dogs and another area for large dogs. Although it is probably safe, I am cautious because there has been recent cases of rabid? racoons and other critters in the area.

I totally agree with everyone else. We would LOVE to attend a Florida Yorkie meet up! Tampa is 4'ish hours away but we'd be willing to make the drive if that's where the meet up is going to be!
