In tampa, there's a dog park & beach at Ft. Desoto (sp?).. they have pavillions with grills and stuff. Next time we'll have to plan something way ahead of time so that we can make it a little larger, or make it into a meet-up weekend :D :p

The weather here has me worried.. I have gracie that is on my knee and freaks at the storms.. so what do I do.. I knew we should have stuck to the motor home thing. and went the night before.. anne

On weather.com, it looks as though it's only going to rain in the morning before we all get ot the park. I know what you mean though....it looks like something out of a horror film outside my window. I'm hoping tomorrow that we will get to the park after the rain has gone.

We have big concerns about the weather.. it has been so bad for the past couple days here.. we just made our added room and we have a leak too..
if for some reason we cannot make it.. are you ok with not having a stroller christina.. let me know.. it has been so bad here in zephyrhills that I did not get my new one put together..but if we go, I am sure that could be done in a short time.. but should we not be able to make it...if we had the day planned with the motor home.. I sure would have felt better...anne

Yeah I was thinking the same time I don't know how long on my GPS but google maps says 1hr 45min. There is tons of thunder and lighting outside right now and I'm home alone tonight :(.

I am having an anxiety attack with all these storms right now myself.. and my hubby looked at the weather and said it was not going to be nice.. so here I am having to make a huge decision quickly as our motorhome is not here. and it is so bad out.. I have been so looking forward to this day.. but with 4 dogs.. it is hard to just jump in a car and go.. I am feeling stressed right now..not knowing what to do.. I am such an organized person when it comes to the dogs.. and the thunder right now.. is wild..

According to weather channel rain is supposed to stop at 5am. After that just windy and cool. Only thing is does anyone know if fenced area is mulch or dirt or what. Wondering if it'll be all muddy because of all the rain:confused:

The park is either mulch or grass. We were having a hard time figuring out from the pictures if it was mulch or leaves on the grass. I think we are in the clear with rain. It's too bad that it's going to be chilly and windy when the weather has been so great but I think we'll have a great day anyway.:thumbup:

I was thinking the same thing....guess I will hold off on the Baths till after the meet up since they may come home a mess! :p :D

We made it!!!!!!!!! Just wanted to let everyone know :) Hope you all are doing okay....the weather wasn't good for the drive, but we made it, and we're so excited to meet whomever can make it!

Our hotel is so/so...kinda what I expected, but I do feel SAFE, and that's most important! Anyway, see y'all tomorrow :D

BTW, to everyone reading and wondering, it's partly cloudy and a little cool and QUITE windy...just as we had suspected....I know you could check weather.com, but it's always better to hear it firsthand...haha :p
