Call me crazy (I AM!) but I'm kinda thinking about coming to this! lol I'm not from FL....actually, SC, but I think bf and I need a weekend away from the apt, work, life, etc....so I was thinking, why not do this?? It's a 6 1/2 hr drive (really nothing to both of us...) So now I've got myself thinking...hmmmm I hope I'm still invited even though I'm not from FL :p Oh, BTW, can't talk to bf till he's off work later, so this is really a maybe maybe maybe but heck, let's hope it all works out and we see you all on Saturday! It looks like the rain is moving in Friday and moving out Sat. morning. I hope so! The park does have covered picnic tables if there is a little rain. I can't think of a backup plan... anyone? |
Okay if you go down to the bottom of the page I linked to the map you can kind of see what the rain is doing. Friday you can see rain and more on the way, Sat. shows rain but you can tell it's moving on and Sunday it's gone. I just can't tell exactly when the rain is going to move on. Is anyone better at this than me? |
Not sure but getting a little nervous is there a covered area in this park just in case? |

I wouldn't worry about the weather because it won't rain in the middle of the day most likely. It usually doesn't rain until after 4 PM. It didn't rain today until 5. It will probably rain tomorrow but not much Saturday. The park is well tree covered but really doesn't have but tiny canopies over the tables, so it we get a shower we will have to run to our cars, but you all know Florida. If you don't like the weather wait 10 minutes and it will change. It will be a little nippy (for Florida) so the pups can dress up! |

We're coming!!! I convinced BF that we should go (not too hard...he wants to go to a MLB spring training game :rolleyes:) So we'll be leaving this afternoon after he gets off work and driving down and staying tonight and tomorrow night :D I can't wait! I'm so excited to meet alllllll of you :) I hope everyone has a safe drive! Are we bringing x-pens or anything to set up at the park or not?? Also, is there ANYTHING else at all that I could bring? Caren (Sims82257) and I both have tents we can bring. If the weather is bad, worse case, we can hang out under them. I've got a call into the park to see if we are allowed to set them up. I still think we're okay weather- wise but just to be on the safe side.;) |
