Seach feature
 
Why is there a 30 second delay when using the search feature? Sometimes, you didn't type it in correctly, or the words you used were too short and when you try to immediately do another search, you have to wait...and wait...and wait.

Is there a way to lower the search time?

Glad to hear that I am not the only one with fumble fingers that gets put on hold!!! LOL And for some reason if I fumble once than I fumble again and then I am upto 60 seconds:eek:

Yes I raised my girls to understand that PATIENCE is a virtue, but Iam the mom! LOL!!!

There is a delay in the search feature to preserve our server. Searches are one of the things that use up server resources the most, and if all members are searching at once, the server can crash, and we have seen it happen before. Thus, to preserve our server and to make sure YT is up and running, we put in a small delay to make sure we can handle everyone's searches.

We for sure do not want to have YT crash because then we would be waiting a whole lot longer!

Oh thank you for explaining that! I too have wondered about the delay between searches and I have to admit, it drives me crazy :D LOL - but now I totally understand why you have to do this - so thanks! :) :thumbup:
