There are times I post to a thread and don't keep following the thread. However, if someone quotes me in the thread I would like to search on that. I'm afraid someone asks me a question and i dont read it bc i stopped reading the thread. I hope that makes sense.

If you go into the thread that you posted in you will be able to find the responses. This happens alot....There are so many posting that sometimes it gets pushed out then you have to go searching for it..Hope this helped you!

I've never come across a good way to search for that, other than blowry's idea of opening the thread and searching through all the comments.

Do you know how to get e-mail notification if someone replies to a thread you've replied to? That will at least let you know that there's a new comment on a thread of interest to you.

Correct. The search allows to search on threads you posted, but what about search on threads that someone quoted you. I dont know if thats possible.

How do you get the email notifications? Does it only send you ones where people reply to you, or all the replys to the post?

I have my on automatic emails and it is not working. Under the manage attachments, mine is not working and yorkietalk.com addy is not blocked on my emails.

I receive emails when someone replies to the thread. It was just a suggestion, but if we can't search on that then that's fine:)

Mine is on and it is not working! Go to where you reply to a thread and go underneath the box under manage attachments you will find notification type and then set it up.

To set it up so you receive a notification anytime someone replies to a thread you've replied to:
Click on User CP at top
Click Edit Options
Go to the area that says "Default Thread Subscription Mode"
Select the type of notification you want, instant, daily, weekly, monthly.

There does not seem to be a way to search for posts where people quoted you. The closest thing to that would be to search for threads you have posted in, which you can do in the Advanced Search:
