I have noticed there is alot of posts selling there Yorkies on here when they have ony 1 -5 posts. This is just a suggestion since there have been so many scams for Yorkies lately. Why not require a certain number of posts to be recognized better before being allowed to post Yorkies for sale???

This for sale post was the persons first post. Not hello and Hi I am new to YT or anything to get recognized.

i saw that. it always aggravates me to no end and I have been round and round with admin over this ass many others have also. they are stubborn about changing it and at this point, it's not going to happen. This was all brought up before the featured yorkies for sale forum was created. we had hoped they would change it to a certain number of posts but they won't.

It seems it needs to be changed in my opinion otherwise this becomes a place for scammers to post ad's. This post isn't the first one like this and if they are allowed to post like that when they just recently join and aren't required to meet a certain criteria then eventually all the scammers will come here.
Doesn't see right, hmmmmm. I hope admin offers some suggestions to this.

I'm not a breeder, but I agree that it should be that way. I see people on here with only a few posts (also in the featured breeders section too).

At the very least, anyone selling anything here should be a donating member ($25+) and have at least 100 posts and been here a month. That is required for the gift exchange, why should it be any less for someone who sells here? Especially when a major percentage of the threads here have to do with getting a quality yorkie from a quality breeder. This is one area where admin has the ability to have a bit of control over who is selling yorkies out there.

I totally agree and want this to be a safe place to come to be able to trust who your purchasing a Yorkie from, not a place where scammers come to steal our pictures and post puppies for sale.

I think at the very least they should be donating members and have 100 posts also!!!!

Hey ladies! I agree with you both. People should have a little something invested here before they are allowed to sell or advertise anything. I don't really sell here nor am I a breeder. However, I do feel this is the right thing to do for the longtime, loyal members/sellers/breeders of YT! Just my opinion!

I agree. I PM'd admin when they changed the yorkie related stuff for sale posts requiring all to be donating members. If they have to be donating to see little stuff like clothing, etc, then I definitely think they should be donating to be able to sell Yorkies!! That is a much greater investment. JMO.

I also think the same rules should be sent for sellers. I don't think it's fair for a seller to join just to advertise their business (even if they do donate).

:thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: I totally agree I don't think its right for just anyone to sign up here and list pups for sale yet we must be a donating member to sale anything else? That doesn't make sense! :confused:

I'm not a Donating Member yet, but I agree that before you can sell pups you should have atleast donated some money, and have a minimum number of posts.

I think you should have to have at least 3 members also sponsor you or stand up for you. Like I have made many friends and spend many hours chatting thru email, on the phone, msn, and thru pms you just get to know people. I am sure I could get 3 people that are also 1000+ posters and long time members to stand up for me and say yes, we believe she is a active member here...not just here to sell pups. Is this making sense???? Just a thought!

I've always liked the minimum post number rule too - in the Yorkies For Sale section that would be tricky to enforce - I think that's about attracting new members and many do come here only to sell and I guess the thinking is one day they'll donate.

but for the Stores and products - I always feel so bad for the longtime members who post with us on a regular basis and worked really hard to get a good website/store going only to get taken over by all the new sites popping up.

What attracts me to a Seller is how they post on the site as well as what they offer. To me, it's the Sellers that are part of the whole site that make it fun to buy here. There's Ebay for those that only want to sell sell sell and don't become active in any other parts of YT
