What does it mean to be bumped? I has a respondent mention that she was going to help bump me up. I have no idea what that means, and what benefit is it to me. Help me to understand. |
It moves your thread up to the beginning of the specific forum. Did I explain that right...... |
it just means that the person is just going to respond to your comment even though they don't have an answer or comment so that your post will continue to appear near the top of the posts so it is more likely to be seen by more people. Suzi |

Again, this is all new to me. |
You're in a thread right now. A thread is a collection of postings usually on a particular topic.:) |
Ohhh. :D |
I was confused by this also...when I saw "Bump" in a post I thought what in the world does that mean....is it an insult, a code word between posters?... Then I found out & that was the, "OOOHHH!" moment...:) |
a thread is subject. So we call it a thread - you follow the thread (the subject) and you post your comments to that particular thread. |
What does it mean to be bumped? It's a dance from the 80's of which I have GREAT memories :D |

Our Baby Kobe, I think I'm the one who bumped you...and I didn't even do a very good job:rolleyes: after bumping I typed on, and on, and on, apparently about nothing. Sorry if that added to the confusion:) |
