I'm a newbie here and trying to learn the ropes. I see that most folks have a designation by their name, such as "new yorkie talker", etc. Just curious how that comes about - as a result of their # of posts?

Also, I wanted to ask (since I've been unable to find it so far) if there is any listing of the members' NAMES, not their screen names or usernames, but their names and the states they are in. I think this would be very helpful. Does anybody else? What does the admin think?

On most forums and I'd guess this will be the same not everyone wants their real name known that's why nicknames are used.

Thanks for your response,Julie. I just am surprised that most folks wouldn't want their identify known? Maybe it would be helpful then to at least have the state that they are located in?

Hi! And welcome! If you go to the Regional Forums you can find some members that are in your area. I agree with you though, I'd be nice to be able to sort members that are in your area in case you wanted to meet for a play date.

I love the work that I do too! It is so rewarding and sometimes challenging to find wonderful second homes for these precious little yorkies who at times have been "thrown away". No, it wasn't UYR that was featured on Animal Planet - I must have missed that one!

Welcome. You can go in and update your profile in CP. You can add city,state etc. Also, yes as the post counts go up that you make your name will change as you've seen on other avators.

Also. WOW, your username is so close to mine. ;)
