Adding PM Folders ??? I was trying to clean up my PM messages and there is a link under PM's (like send a new message, etc) that said add or edit folders. I knew you could do this for your subscription list, so I thought I would do it for my PM's (like Orders, Sold Items, etc). So, I click on it, follow the directions and type in my new folder names, and then the save button. It does nothing. It will just take me back to the page where I type in my new folders names in the boxes. Can we not do new folders for our PMs? |
I've had different folders for awhile now. |

I have them in my PM. Let me go there and check how to do it again. |
Okay click on userCP, then on the left hand side of the page it has List messages, send new messages, track messages and edit folders. Click on edit folders and do what it says. |

That is what I do. I get that far, type in the new folder names and click on save folders and it does nothing, just brings me back to that same page. Are the new folders suppose to be under your sent folder, etc at the top of your PM page? If so, I don't have them there, so apparently they aren't being saved. |
Yes that is where they are suppose to be. I don't know why you're having trouble. Maybe PM admin. and see if they can help you. |
I do the Edit Folders, it takes you to the edit folder page - where you have boxes where you can type in your new folder names. I type them in, and click save folders....nothing. On the edit folder page, at the top you see your standard folders (inbox, sent items), below that is the custom folders and below that is the add new folders. When I click save, it does nothing but comes back to this same page. The folder names that I type in are now in the custom folders section. Is this where they stay or will they be placed under the inbox,sent items folders? If this is where they stay, who do I add my messages to them? Crazy!! |

We just did a simple test of adding a "test" folder and it did indeed work. Click "Save Folders" after adding a folder name on the Edit Folders page. Then, when you go to the Private Messages page: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/private.php Click on the drop down box under "Jump to Folder:" and it will show your new folders. |

I love this feature -- I have lots of different folders -- so much easier to organize and find pm's. |
Ok, I did this and the new folder that I made and named is in my "Jump To Folder" drop down list at the top of the page when I go to my PM Inbox...but when I select/check a PM to move into the new folder that I created, it won't let me do it because the folder isn't listed in the "Selected Messages: Move To Folder..." drop down list at the bottom of the PM Inbox page - it's only at the "Jump To Folder" drop down list at the top. So I can't actually move any of my PM's into the new folder that I created. I hope that made sense. What am I doing wrong??? :confused: |
