it was an older thread and the person that started it didn't want it started back up...it was a good thread though.

wow and now my post has been moved....so no one can see it? Wierd.

You must have had some really big opinions to have your reply deleted...lol.

It was a joke, I didn't even see your reply.

I was like WTH I didnt say anything out of line. ha but how would I know. I just think it is wierd they closed a thread just because someone decided they didnt want it open. It wasnt even about her anymore.

Maybe because that thread could go on and on forever really...everyone has a different opinion on certain breeds and talking it to death wont change anyones mind...i dunno..i never read the thread lol..

Besides that why then did the moderator just move my question about the thread to BFE where no one can see it and not even answer my question?

I almost feel cheated in a way. I dont know why this is bothering me so much but it just doesnt feel right. We can have a thread go for 10 pages long and all it says it your baby is sooo cute over and over, but not a thread with some substance. Now I know it isnt about Yorkies so ok maybe that is why.

But I am a dog lover not just a yorkie lover. It seems that the health and existance of any dog should be important

The moderators here do what is for the better good of this forum. They do a great job at making their decisions also. We do have topics of substance on this forum also, not just cooing over each others puppies. I dont question why a thread has been closed, usually its pretty obvious to the reader why it was and if not I assume there was a good reason.

My understanding is that properly categorizing posts is one of the monitors' jobs. In fact, they occasionally ask for our help in categorizing them correctly. One reason is for posterity. If somewhere were researching criticism of the way the forum is run, the first place they'd look is in Site Suggests / Comments/ Questions.

As for current discussion, the vast majority of YTers just look at New Posts, and your comment has been on New Posts for all to see since you made it.

I guess I'm just asking you not to be too quick to criticize the monitoring team. They do things for good reasons, and most of us are delighted with them.

That was a thread that was started a while back. As you will see (after being a member for a while) that some subjects will get "heat" ie...teacups, Pits, puppymills, petstores etc.....If Admin sees a post is getting too heated or it starts to get nasty you may see posts deleted and sometimes the thread will be closed. We have a lot of members on YT with alot of different opinions this can sometimes lead to unecessary comments by some that have very strong opinions. Don't take it personal that the thread was closed...The oringinal poster did make a comment about the thread being closed...this could be why that happened.

Your post was moved because it was in the wrong section. Everyone can see it here, no worries :) I move threads daily to the appropriate sections. Your particular post was a site question which belongs here.

The thread was closed because it was getting out of hand and off topic. There are plenty of threads here on big dogs & small dogs, just do a simple search. If you have a particular question regarding yorkies and other breeds and can't find a thread about it, just start a new one.

I just want to say that I think Simon & Hallie and all the other moderators do an awesome job!

I think so too -- it's a hard call when to allow debate and when to pull the plug. Sometimes if we think we have something left to say, it feels like it was too soon. But if we review, probably everything needing said on the subject was already said.

I really think that the thread would of went on and on and by then someone would of said something that another would not have liked and so forth, I acknowledge Yters to not post anymore but obviously some didn't listen (which they have their rights not too) but bringing it back up was like reopening a sore wound WHY?? :confused: I know Buddah that you was probably upset but I am sooo glad it got closed because it bought a lot of confusion and sometimes heat to the board and we all know that we don't want that RIGHT? So by just what I said you can see that it wasn't about me anymore like you had mentioned but it was just about the topic. Like you said someone can say a pup is cute and it can go on for 10 pages but its the topic. What my personal opinion is if the person who orignally starts a post and if they feel that they want to close it and have a reason too I think it should be closed point blank I mean why not? After all they was the one that wanted advice in the first place...Ya get where I'm coming from?...Once you will be on here longer you will understand more......WELCOME TO YT!!! :)
