Question For Admin Every so often, there's a post on here asking for help getting a dog from one place to another or fostering for a few days or something or other. (confusing? lol) Anyway, I thought it might be nice to have a spot here where people could post needs and willingness to help. For example, I live in Florida and would be happy to babysit for people visiting the area attractions where they can't take their dogs. I'd also be willing to go pick animals from shelters or act as a foster mom for short periods of time. If there was some way to set this up, I'm certain it would help many people. I'd be more than willing to act as a moderator for the thread, putting people together or whatever you felt would work. Just an idea. Think it could work? |

Thanks, I'm anxious to see what the administrators think. I know they have their hands full as it is and I have no idea what is involved in accomplishing such a thing. Let's keep our fingers crossed! |

I think that's a great idea. It seems like lately we've had some YT railroad threads and help requested for picking up a puppy at an airport. I think it would be great to have 1 place for all of these types of treads.:thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: |

Great idea! "bump, bump" I know that more of us YT members need to continue to help this thread by donating (myself included). If there's a challenge that admin wants to give as an incentive to add certain ID's to YT boards I'd love to participate. |

I agree too, I've been watching a thread from a friend of mine trying to organise a Yorkie Railroad and it just kept getting lost in the the other threads and we seemed to be endlessly bumping it! C'mon admin? Is it not possible? *Bumpty Bump* :p |

although I live at the end of the earth, I would love to help anyone out... by either sitting, transporting, or whatever... i think this is a super idea! Even when I cant help, I like to folow and "root" on the ones who can. d |
It IS a good idea, but remember, from Friday evening to Sunday evening, not as many people are on here. Everyone is out and about having a fun week-end. ;) |

Well Admin, what do you think? Well,they say good things come in small packages and I know there aren't alot of us who have said we're willing to help but it's a start. But without a forum of it's own, like the yorkie railroad help needed, it just gets lost. Maybe you have good reasons for not wanting to do this, but could you respond to the post to give us an idea of what your thoughts are? Thanks in advance. |

Hey everyone :) As far as I know there have only been 2 YT Railroad threads so beginning a separate forum isn't really necessary at this time (in the future it very well be a possibility-and that would be great). I know that there are many of us willing to help when we can and if it is needed in our areas. Threads get lost because they are posted in General Yorkie Discussion which is a forum that is "abused" in a sense and full of threads that belong in other forums (such as health & diet, training, grooming talk, etc.). I try to move threads to correct sections but it is nearly impossible to keep up. How about this, we all make an effort to bump those Railroad threads up as often as necessary so they are seen by as many people possible :) We can all do that right? Let's get these babies home........... |
and you do a great job when a train is chugging along too I too can only remember 2 so far but love seeing people offer to help and hopefully we'll know the end result if one actually happens - HAS one happened yet ?? I would think I'd know it if it did :confused: but don't think one has actually had to be used yet - |

The other two YT railroads turned out great and Thanks to simonandhallie and other great members they kept those threads bumped up until the railroad was completed and the baby's made it to their homes. I myself have just seen this thread and Im sure others would post, Just they havent been on yet. THat was sweet of you to post and let people know in advance that you are so willing to help.
