Eligibility - The Gift Exchange is open to all Donating Members that have donated $20 or more to YorkieTalk. Click here for information on donating. (If you want to enter two Yorkies into a Gift Exchange, you will need to have donated $40 or more). This will allow you to participate in the YT Gift Exchange as long as YT does Gift Exchanges. We require this now because there are certain former YT members that DID NOT mail out a Gift in previous Gift Exchanges while they did accept a gift. This is totally unfair and unjust, especially with all the effort, time, and energy everyone in the Gift Exchange has given. The YT Gift Exchange is open to all YT Donating Members from the United States and Canada. If you are anywhere else in the world, there is an additional $20 shipping fee per Gift Exchange to cover the extra cost of shipping items to foreign countries. This fee must be paid before the start of the Gift Exchange for you to participate. The fee will be given directly to your Secret Buddy (minus any Paypal fees, if any), which they can use to apply towards their shipping costs. Shipping from the US/Canada to anywhere else is VERY expensive and this is for those costs. We do not allow any threads or posts for seeking any "unofficial" YorkieTalk Gift Exchanges, however, you may send gifts to any member or friend you would like at any time. I am a donating member to this site so please correct me if I am wrong or missed the part where it disqualifies Sophia and myself becuase she is not a yorkie or yorkie mix... Thanks Fran |

Hey, I see the same as your seeing, it says nothing about having to be a yorkie and you donated, so I don't see what the problem is. Admin should let you participate in the gift exchange. |
Maybe if everyone who is participating agreed they will be Ok with it. I don't see why anyone would object then. Just a thought. |

I don't see why Fran and Sophia should NOT be allowed to join in the gift exchange. It's not like they would be accepting a gift but not sending one in return. Besides the rules don't even state anything about breeds, just that you have to be a donating member. It's not like she's asking for anything free :confused: Fran I for one think you and Sophia should participate because she is our honorary yorkie and just because Sammi is at the Rainbow Bridge doesn't mean you are any less of a member. You probably donate than most people here. Love ya girl |
I'm good with it. Don't worry gals I've got a plan. ;) When it comes time if admin hasn't let Sophia in or Fran hasn't obtained a new yorkie, we'll figure it out. Let's talk then. |
I think Fran and Sophia should be able to participate, too! If only yorkies can participate, then that needs to be stipulated in the Eligibility section. It clearly isn't, so she should be able to participate. |
I sure hope that Jaxon and I can do the gift exchange next month. He is a yorkie-poo and we are donating members. Do they have to be a purebred yorkie? Kay:aimeeyork |

From the YT Gift Exchange Rules & Regulations thread (http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=27032), which hasn't changed since we started the YT Gift Exchange: 1. Finding a Gift Exchange Buddy - Pairing up will be randomly done by computer and you will be informed by e-mail or PM as to who your secret gift exchange buddy is, their address and all their information on themselves and their pet(s)! You may register up to two Yorkies per Gift Exchange. It's nothing personal against you or Sophia. If we start allowing other breeds, when does it stop? What if someone wants their bulldog to participate? Or their Great Dane? Or their parrot? The YorkieTalk Gift Exchange has always been for Yorkies or Yorkie mixes, we have not changed that at all. If you would like to exchange gifts with any YT member directly, that is fine and encouraged. We do not allow any threads or posts seeking any "unofficial" YorkieTalk Gift Exchanges, as stated in the rules. |
