SUGGESTION: Direct Links To Members With Yorkie Product Web Sites
 

I am a member of another board (I make candles, and it is a candle board)...the baord is exactly like YT, except it is for candlemakers. Anyway, they have a section dedicated to all of the members that have product and supply web sites, where all of their web sites are neatly listed, so that all other members can easily click on that section and have a list at hand of member web sites so that they can buy their products.

I thought it would be a really cool idea for the mods to possibly have a section called "List of Our YT Member's Yorkie Products Web Sites" or something along those lines, so that a list of web sites of all the YT members that make clothes, holiday outfits/costumes, doggie treats, etc. are readily available for us members that like to shop :p Under each web site that is listed, it would be neat if there was a description of what each web site had available (dresses, harnesses, bows, halloween costumes, collars, leashes, dog beds, blankets, doggie treats, etc.), and we could also list the YT Members ID under each web site link so that we know who on YT owns that particular web site.

That way if YT members are looking for something specific, we can click on that section of the board, view the list of YT member web sites, and their descriptions, and SHOP! lol :D I know that there are many times when I am looking for something specific, and I would LOVE to buy from our YT members, but alot of times I do not know "WHO" on YT sells/makes products. Usuaully the only way I can find them is if I happen to come across one of their post's with a link to their web site in their signature.

The way the candle board did it is, all members of the board who wish to have their web sites listed, e-mailed the mod and/or mods, with the link to their websites, a brief description of what they sell and offer on their site, whether or not they offered a discount to board members, and if so, what %...5%, 10%, etc., and their board member name. A few days later, after everyone got a chance to submit their web sites and information, the mods then went and created the new section, and posted all the members web sites and information all under one post (not several post, not a post for each web site/member).

Anyway, sorry to ramble on but I just thought that I would explain in detail how it was done. I think this would be a REALLY NEAT idea!! And I'm sure that all the YT members who do have web sites would really appreciate it...and those of us who love to shop would appreciate it even more! :D lol.

I forgot to say that the mods posted a new thread, in several sections on the board, alerting all members that there was going to be a new section dedicated to all members with product/supply web sites. They then mentioned in the post that all members were to email them/PM them (however you want to do it, PM'ing might be easier) with their information (web site name, description of what they sold on their site, and their member name) if they wished to have their web sites listed. The mods then gave it a few days (periodically bumping the thread so that everyone got a chance to see it) making sure that all members who wanted their web sites listed had enough time to see and read the thread and get their information submitted to the mods, and then of course, the new section was made....HOORAY!!! :D :cheer: LOL

Oh weird! I've been thinking the very same thing- so obviously I think it's a fabulous idea!:p I thought it would also be good if the discount codes were listed.

Is the one in Links a list of members only? I know the one in product reveiws isn't. I'm sure most of us would rather give our business to YT members if possible and also those discount codes get hard to keep straight.
