THANK YOU!! For adding this chat room!! I love this site and you (our administrators) have just out done yourselves!! Thanks so Much!!! :bravo: |
Ilovebaby: I'm sorry you are having trouble connecting to chat. It may be due to your firewall software, or some places of work may block the chat from functioning properly. We will try to see if we can troubleshoot your particular problem. rrosenberry: Click on the main chat window in the text area. You should see a text prompt that flashes. Type in a few words and press Enter and your message should be broadcast to the chat room. The text entering area is the white bar just above the Public arrow button. |
this is what im getting Connecting... Unable to connect : null Not on a channel Error : Not connected Error : Not connected Error : Not connected Error : Not connected Error : Not connected Error : Not connected |
Hmm, could be the firewall blocking it browniesmom622, you may want to try the mIRC option I mentioned. |

is there a main link to get to the chat room or do we just have to come to this thread? |
There should be a link at the top of every page - right under the Yorkie Talk title |

Try This.... if your having problems with the yorkietalk chat room go to www.java.com and download java to your computer. |
I have java and i have downloaded all updates it just won't let me in the channel?? |
Can someone please help me chat?? I have tried all suggestions.. I even downloaded the mIRC but when i type /join #yorkietalk it puts me in a room with no one esle..that was through the mIRC so i went back to yorkietalk.com and used this link to chat and i'm still getting the same thing about the channels... i'm using firefox...i just don't know... |
Ilovebaby: try mIRC again. After you open the program, type in one of these commands. /server irc.qeast.net /server irc.prison.net After you get a lot of text (which means you logged into the chat) then type in: /join #yorkietalk Good luck! |
For those having problems accessing chat through Java, please see our new Guide to using Chat using mIRC: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8227 |
