is there something wrong with chat...I tried to sign in and it said I was banned from the server...:eek:

Hey Kimberly

I have problems getting in sometimes because the server that YorkieTalk uses for the chat is down or what have you.

If you're interested, another foolproof way to get in is to go to:

http://www.jpilot.com/chat.html

-then change the nick name to your own (like Kimberly55 or something)

-change the server from the dropdown menu to "irc.prison.net" (it's one of two choices)

-then click the green arrow at the bottom. the chat will start

-after it starts, in the little white bar where you usually type, put this:
/join #yorkietalk

and there you are.

The chat is working, you can try typing in :

/server irc.qeast.net

or

/server irc.prison.net

in the chat window if the default server does not work for you.

I finally got in,but I dont think I'll be going back the people were really mean,and very nasty.:(

WOW!! That is not like our YT members.....are you sure they weren't just kidding around? We have a lot and I mean A LOT of joksters on here.

I can assure you 110% they were not kidding around. I must have went into a wrong room or something. The things they were saying to me :eek: too say the least. And I dont think they were any Yt members. Some of the rudest things I've ever heard.The conversation started out with a very welcoming GET OUT!!! and the rest was so rude it couldnt be posted on YT.:( .

We're sorry you had a bad experience, but we have no record of you ever joining YorkieTalk's chat. You may have gone into the wrong chat room or it must have been somewhere else. We do not tolerate personal attacks in chat, just like on the forums. If we do see problems in chat, the member may be suspended or banned.

Well, I will definitely say, it sure didnt look like anything from yorkie talk. I am glad to hear this cause I was really looking forward to a yorkie chat, mabie I'll try again tomorrow. I'm getting really tired now, going to bed.Thanks:)

i havent been able to get into chat for like ever now...im seriously having withdrawals. i cant go to that jpilot site cuz work "denies access" im so pissed!!!:mad: lol i miss all my chat buddies :(

YorkieTalk is on a large Internet chat server, thus some nicknames may already be taken (by non-YT members). Just type in '/nick newname' without the quotes and choose a different chat name if yours is already taken.

HMMMM....Chat is a very friendly place!!!! We always have fun in chat and love new people to come in!!!! Something must not have been right those who said that chat did not have nice people! We love to have fun in there!!!
