I wanted to just express my sadness on how YT has been lately. I don't know if I caused the 'divide' when I posted my views on Biewers. It seems that most of the problems are in the Breeder Talk section. I've been in other groups where breeding just doesn't seem to fit. What was YT like before the breeder talk area was opened? But then again, I joined when BT was open and I was welcomed and embraced until I spoke my opinions. I don't see breeders helping eachother but working against eachother, focusing on who can give the best advise and who is the 'better breeder'. I don't know what the answer is, Admin, you make the call of course. But thought I'd put this out there as I know you are too busy to scan every single post. If you don't see a problem with the environment, it may just be me. I posted this instead of PMing you to see what others feel.

As stated by simonandhallie, the reason for the Breeder Talk section is to educate people on breeding and those that have breeder questions. While we do not like to see any hostility or problems, we have decided that having a section just for breeders or breeder discussion is better than not having one, since people will have questions regardless. Before we opened the breeder section, people still had breeding questions, they just ended up in General Yorkie Discussion mostly. No matter if there is a section just about breeding or not, the questions people have about breeding don't go away.

All members (and breeders) are free to participate in Breeder Talk, just as they are free to not participate. We appreciate all breeders, and since no one on the YorkieTalk team is a breeder or an expert on the subject, we appreciate all breeders that do help out in answering questions, supporting pregnant Yorkies with advice, and helping any novice breeders with their first Yorkie litter.

We would hope that breeders do not try to one-up one another and try to "show off" in Breeder Talk, as that is not the main purpose. Threads can get heated and controversial when it comes to breeding, but our goal here is to help the pregnant Yorkies deliver a healthy Yorkie litter. As of late, we see Breeder Talk as working, as members are getting their questions answered and there is not a lot of problem threads. We did see your Biewer thread, we don't think it caused any particular hostility, as that thread is currently open and did spur some good conversation about the topic.

Thank you for your feedback. As we have stated in the past, our goal here at YorkieTalk is to help Yorkies, Yorkie parents, pregnant Yorkies, and to be a resource for everything that has to do with our favorite breed, the Yorkshire Terrier.

I've read the Breeding section and do post in it occasionally...and from what I see - it's helped alot of people. Every once in a while..sure there are differing opinions ...but the people who need help in the breeders section always seem to get it. When someone has questions and need quick answers - I've seen breeders go to great lengths to help. I personally love this section of YT because I've learned a ton...

IF I were ever to breed.... :rolleyes: I wouldn't hesitate to ask a question and I know I would get great answers

Wow Irene...I'm sorry you feel this way. I don't feel that way about the section at all. :( True, there is the occasional scuffle when someone posts one of those "I bred my 3 poiund female and don't know what to do" situations, but.....well...
I've learned TONS from that section. I am so greatful for the seasoned veterans on this site. (Stacy, Susan, Rini, Kimberly...) AND for those of us still learning when they post questions and I sit and say, "Wow, I never thought about that before..."
Yes, I know there has been tension over the whole Biewer issue. Consider this, remember a while back when your practices were attacked? Remember how upsetting it was for you? Well, it's the same situation here. Maybe some still don't agree with what you do...but it's what YOU do. No one, but you, has the right to make decisions about your practices. The same should apply for everyone. You go by what you believe and what you've learned and you see how it is when others are judgmental about it. More importantly, in the end, what did it matter? Did you change anything, or just walk away with a bad taste in your mouth about it. Same here. Maybe you (and others) don't agree w/ what some others to in regards to Biewers, but they go by what they believe and have learned. I am sure they feel the same way you once did when questioned and ridiculed. And again...what's it going to solve.
This is not just a statement to you, more like a general statement for EVERYONE spawned by you. Just relax and have a Blizzard girlfriend!

I am glad I am the only one that feels that way. And it's not site-wide. This is just not my feelings. Others that read this forum that are not even members here but follow threads have emailed me confirming my feelings. Some are people I know and others are not.

I don't know why anyone felt attacked about Biewers. I always ended my posts reminding this was not attacking or criticizing. Just me sharing what I have found out. I did that to emphasize this is not to be taken another way. But I am still disliked. I offer support to breeders that don't agree with me or say nice things to me. That's my way of showing we can still be friends. Well I am mocked and rumors are started about me. That is like a slap in the face. I don't care what is said, the fact is they say it about me or to me. That's just RUDE! Now that I'm writing this all out, I guess the only thing is that we have different personalities. Some single out certain people to dislike for no reason at all and all their friends jump on the bandwagon. I want to like everyone and everyone to like me. I know this sounds weird, but I don't understand or comprehend why anyone else wouldn't want the same thing. I have been trying too hard to be overly nice to those that just dislike me, they don't even know me. Since I am confident in my breeding program. It really has nothing to do with breeding really. I'm talking about me as a person. I don't expect anything out of this. Sorry I rambled on..these feelings have been bottled up inside me and I just want to put them out there. Nobody needs to respond.It's more of a perosnal issue for me I guess. Admin thanks for replying and thanks for listening.

Okay, I am now convinced I live in that parallel universe I was talking about last week or so. I thought we were doing well. I have been told to "f-0ff" on some forums for posting my opinions about breeders, brokers, Biewers..etc...I think we do great compared to others forums.

BUT I am irrated and saddened by the recent new members who came, poked around, got what they were looking for and left?

Rini..was my Broker/Breeder post out of line? I guess I am so used to people stating their opinions and still being friends...you get a very rough skin the dog world or you are always licking wounds.

So, you noticed this too? Seems like I'm welcoming several new people each day, and then never see them again. :( Then everytime you say something that someone might not agree with, you get the whole "you are chasing of new members" speech. It's like, Geez, they probably won't ever make it to this post! :(

Then it just has to be me. I have had the complete opposite experience. I belong to other groups and this is the ONLY one I feel uncomfortable on. I keep posting in hopes to get along with everyone. Well there was another rumor about me was just brougth to my attention. I did NOT invite Cher or Juile or any of the show breeders here to discuss Biewers. I warned Sue because I had heard they were not happy about Biewers. Why is everyone trying to make me out to be a bad person!!!!!!!!! For the life of me I don't understand!

I agree Pat, I assume we can still be friends. But I am the only idiot that's reaching out to keep friendships. Everyone that didn't like what I had to say (not how i said it mind you) makes little remarks like when I was in high school!
My post on brokers was orignially a very vocal one. I resorted to thumbs down instead. I'm sure mine was worse.

Huh? Cher? Like THE Cher? She can come to my house anytime! ;) She can bring some of her money with her too! Just kidding.

I know what you mean about posting personal experiences and/or opinions. I think EVERYONE should post their feelings, and if someone doesn't agree, that's fine. But no one should make a person/breeder/mommy/whatever feel bad for the decision that they make/made. I.E. I still feed Baby Chicken Soup and I give her rawhide bones. No one has to agree with this, but it's my dog and I take darn good care of her. And I think "teacup/mini/tiny" Yorkies are adorable. If someone doesn't like me, that's fine. IMHO, I think you should stop trying to be nice to the people who are mean to you. Ignore them and/or stick up for yourself. I for one can't keep my mouth shut IF someone harasses me or a friend. But....I will NEVER start crap with someone on YT just b/c they have a different opinion than mine. I wish you all the best. :D

You got me laughing on that one. Cher from Goldenray and Julie from Jo-Nel Yorkies. The show breeders that chimed (nicely mind you) about Biewers. I am accused of inviting them to YT. Not that it's a bad thing. I have had many conversations with Cher since then. She a wonderful knoweledgeable person. What is they harm with them coming on anyway. This is the stuff that's driving me to eat DQ and get fat!!!!

Guys can we just drop this.. it is going to become some other type of heated arguement. Just let it be.. we all know it is IMPOSSIBLE for everyone to see 1 thing the same way... so lets move on from this .... hope everyone has a good weekend!!

Irene, just remember you can't please everybody all the time. If you are happy with what you do and how you do it, then that is what is important.

You, me or anyone are not responsible for any members leaving..those are decisions each person makes on their own. This is a very large forum...I can get lost here. So many things to read and post to..if I can not deal with a post, I can go to another.

Rini was in no way responsible for any show breeders coming or going..there was a need for information, this was the place to get "names and numbers", no need to remain when information was obtained..end of story.

Nicely put...I think this is where problems come into play...whether people intentionally start crap or that is how other take it. Two lessons here: 1) stick to what you believe and don't take what others say personally, 2) think of how it's going to sound to someone else BEFORE you say it if you are going to be upset by the way they react. :)

Some of these feelings were bottled up and I wanted to let them out. It's been creating a pit in my stomach everytime I come here lately. Now I feel better that I aired my feelings out.

This forum, like any other forum is to share thoughts, ideas, opinions, etc. Wouldn't it be boring if we all agreed on everything. Discussion is what keeps it interesting.
Irene, I've been into your website a couple of times. It's obvious how much you love your animals. If you're comfortable with your program the only one you are accountable to is yourself. What makes the people that disagree with you so special that you allow them upset you? Personally, I think when some people are jealous, they attack.
Geez, I hope I haven't offended anyone, but if I did...get over it.

Jim you are so right. They do get to me. And i'll tell you why, I try soo hard to make others feel comfortable, I dont' want to hurt anyone. I've been treated poorly on YT and in private and I always try to say somthing nice to give benefit of the doubt. Well I am done with that. I have come to the realization in YT who I am wasting my time with. Thanks for saying nice things and thanks for noticing what how much I put into my puppies. I'm always looking to do more :)

Irene, I'm about 9 miles east of Youngstown. Don't try so hard to please people. Regardless of how hard you try you won't please everyone. You'll just make yourself crazy. I used Dr. Huchison (hope I spelled that right) about 11 years ago when our Scotty had a digestive problem. Our breeder was in NY state and she insisted we bring Tyler to him. He was great.

My advice would be to consider the source- if somoeone is emailing you and they are not a member or a pst member that is not here write it off- I will admit I am not here anywhere near what I used to be and that is my decision- I am just starting to check back in and hope that things are different now- anyway- I know the " feeling" you are referring to and just ride it for a while and see how it goes-- thats what I am doing:)

Heyyy!! There's my guy. Thanks ol' wise one, you know me and my sensitivity :) I just want us all to accept one another and get along. I will do just as you say, you always give the best advise :)

I feel the same way you do.. I just need to unsubscribe to this group.. Whenever I post to a thread alot of the members take it wrong.. I do know there are people on here that do not like me, that is there problem not mine.. I joined this group to learn and hopefully help someone by my mistakes.. Have I made mistakes, sure.. Will I make more mistakes, probably.. But I love my dogs and I have such love for the yorkie breed!

I think it is wonderful that Cher and Julie has joined our group!!!! We need more reputable show breeders like them to be on this group! They have years and years of experience and we can only learn from that, which I think is a good thing!

That stinks that you (or any member) feel that way. Nobody will be liked by every single person here, unfortunately. But just know, whether you stay or leave, there ARE people who enjoy hearing from you and that would miss you! :)

Please do not feel that way, you are here to help all of us. Write what you think is right and don't worry about anybody else! Have a great day!

:thumbup: You are exactly right.. I am right now ashamed to be a member of this group.. But until the admin. puts certain groups of people in their place it will only continue to get worse..

I can answer that!! Those posts were deleted by Admin.. and I think he and other moderators do wonderful jobs on YT and I think there are so much that they can do!!!

Each of us have to be responsible about our action and words... I think some people are being suspecious if people who were banned might have come back to the site by changing their names etc.. but that is really hard for Admin to control. I think a lot of people have bad experiences with other YT members... some points.. so people can be very sensitive about others' comments etc... I usually express my honesty to people here .. I try to say things in polite way..I even ask pretty directly .. when I feel uncomfortable.. but then.. I don't always get responses from people whom I might feel suspecious!!

Anyway.. I enjoy YT very much.. and I just love it. We have so many members here .. so I know there are always disagreements .. it is hard to have everyone get along.. but this place shouldn't be the place where people get hurt... People's voice is valid here.. and I hope people don't take things so hard... :) If you go to different forums or chat rooms, people can be so nasty that you cannot even compare with YT.. :)
