New owner New Yorkie Puppy Package Gawd knows breeders should send these home with their pups, but we so often get newbies here with so very many questions, and we have so much good info in the library, I was thinking maybe we could accumulate this into a Welcome to Yorkie Talk - your new Puppy Packet - chock full of information about those so important first days, weeks n months! Kind of a link that goes out to their Welcome To Yorkie Talk Visitor message, but also a Link that could be posted when they first introduce themselves and their new puppy. What I noticed (or maybe failed to notice) we don't have a great article on hypoglycemia how to recognize it and what to do type of thing. |
Perhaps because people's view on what is the right thing to do varies so much; i.e. Free feed / schedule feed, crate / no crate, age to bring home, etc. I look at raising a puppy, just like raising children. There are a lot of views and opinions out there. If there were one right way to do it, every puppy/child would turn out appropriately. But what you find appropriate and acceptable, I might not and vice versa. How do you determine what is the "right" way? |
Don't mean it to be the *only right way* but more of an information all in one bundle packet. We have lots of info separately in the library, why not accumulate that together? |

It seems the problem with many newbies is not only are they searching for answers, but they don't know how to navigate an online forum. I was here for a year before I ever found the YT library. I only clicked "user cp" and "new posts" for months. |
I think it would be great to do one that tries to encompass all of the different suggestions...as every pup is different (scheduled feedings/free feeding etc) sounds like it would be time consuming ....but I think gemy would be a wonderful candidate! ;-) gemy u just have a way that I truly enjoy reading what u have written! |
