YT Computer Question
 
Hey yt peeps. Anyone know why I wouldn't be able to get on YT on my computer, a desktop, but no problems with my iPad, or phone? I think I changed a setting, maybe a compatibility setting, not sure. I get the message "this page cannot be displayed". I have no limitations in what I can view so I am sure it is not blocked. Not on purpose anyway.

not sure did you check trying to open it in another browser? to see if it is limited to say IE or Chrome or whichever you use...

No I have not tried a different browser. It worked one minute then it quit. Yt is the only site that won't load.

Ann, I assume I have an ad blocker running. Yesterday when I was trying to upload my caption this picture it would take my picture. I kept getting an error that there was an error with the picture, not that it was too big, just an error. Then I tried a few minutes later, it worked, and then after that I couldn't get on to YT at all. At first I assumed the site was just down, but I tried from my phone with no problems. At home no problems. I am generally pretty good on techy issues but this one baffles me. I even did a system restor to last week when I know it worked and nothing. Weird.

Is your iPad on your home network ip address or is it like your mobile phone and have wireless service?

My ip has been blocked a couple of times and Admin has fixed it for me.

Oh I never thought that my ip could have been blocked. I may need to explore that. I read online that there can be a problem when you use two different devices at the same time logging in under the same name. In my case it was my phone and my work computer. It wasn't intentional, my phone goes right to Yt when I open safari and I had just checked it to stay logged in. Thanks Kristen, I'll PM admin.

I should clarify that my phone and my work are two different networks. I know a lot of us are logged in on two different devices at once but it is usually the same network or you are only actively using one. I was (accidentally) using both at the same time and I so think this is my problem.

I had that problem for 5 or 6 days last week, got the same error you got.I did everything I could do on my side, reboot computer, added foxfire for new browser. I got in touch with Admin. eventually they resolved my prob.

Isn't it amazing how not having YT brings out the crazy in us? Phew! I feel normal again.:D:D
