Term "Message Board" Is Outdated I don't come here often and I have had the same problem in the past finding this place. When I get logged in to the home or index page, I look around how to get here, then I see the term Message Board and finally click that. I use to own one of fastest growing "message boards", so to speak in a different industry. I've been participating in them back when they were called bulletin boards! Doing a search at Google for "message board", there were 44 million results. You think with that number the term is popular. However, try "forum" and you get 1 billion, nine hundred million results!... substantially more. I prefer the more wide version of these kinds of places and to me it's a "Forum". Instead of the major line reading: "Please feel free to browse around and read our message board!" Possibly have it say: Please feel free to browse around and read our Forum! Google's definition of forum is: <a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged> Just a suggestion. Matthias :) |
