Admins have to approve my every post? Why? Hi all, I am wondering what the point of being forced to wait hours for things I post to appear on the forums is. While I understand that admins approving new topics helps to limit the spam, I don't understand why I also have to wait for admins to post my replies TO MY OWN TOPIC. It seems that I didn't have this problem in the beginning because my replies were becoming visible without approval, but now I am suddenly being told that my replies myst be approved before they can be posted! I ended up trying to post the same thing three or four times because I thought it was a glitch! What happened, did I do something wrong? Because there are not any admins on for the majority of the day, it takes hours for anything to get anything posted. Its so inconvenient! Sorry for being impatient, I'm just really confused! Do I need to post a certain amount of times before things get approved automatically? Assistance please! EDIT: How inconsistent can these forums be? This topic just posted by itself without any special mod approval! Am I cursed or something??? |
Posts from new members may be moderated and subject to approval before they show up. This will only happen if you have less than 10 posts. Also, your own posts will not show up under the "New Posts" link unless there is a new reply to your thread. Thank you. This is to protect our community, as we have had problems in the past. Thank you. |
Okay that explains everything! Thanks for the quick reply. ^.^ |
Sorry for double posting, but does the ability to edit all your posts come after you post 10 times as well? I accidentally double posted in a different topic because I missed the message about waiting for my post to get approved. I'm asking because I see that I can edit my posts here, but I cant edit them in the general discussion forum. |
