Pop up ads Should we be getting large pop up ads on YT pages? Seems to be only recently it started. Is is my iPad problem? Thanks. |

Pop up ads, again! The full screen ads are now more frequent and very annoying. Only recently did they appear. I do not get the ads on other sites on my iPad and wonder if it is a glitch on the YT site?? |

Ads I think it must be something to do with the YT site. They are so frequent now and so so annoying. They pop up when the mouse is still and I am just reading a page and seem randomly generated, usually from a limited number of products. YT must have a virus?? |
We just did a test with an iPad running the default Safari browser on YorkieTalk and we did not experience any popup ads at all. If you can provide a screenshot or let us know which thread you are reading when you saw an ad, we can look into it. YorkieTalk does not have any viruses and we have never utilized popup ads here on our site. Thank you. |
Ads Thank you so much for looking into this issue. The ads seem to just randomly pop up when I am doing nothing. They occur on different threads. One of them was for Temptations dog treats I believe and another for a Brawny or other paper towel. It seems to be only a couple of ads that recur. Perhaps there is a pop up setting that I need to look at. I will go to the Apple store and ask what I can do. I am glad that it is not a virus or due to the YT site. Again thank you so much for testing it out. These I pads do have minds of their own sometimes! :-) I really appreciate the YT site by the way. Thank you! Happy New Year! |

On thinking more, as we have different ads, it could be some use grabbing site that tailors ads for each user. I do not see options to set for pop ups etc on the iPad as I do on my desktop Mac. As I mentioned before I will try and resolve at a Mac store. Strange that it only affects the YT site, but perhaps I did not notice on others? Just happy it is not a virus!! |

Ads I don't know about Kontera specifically but I know there are sites watching our every move and targeting us for ads based on the sites we visit. I was happy to hear from Admin that YT does not accept ads. It was also good of them to look into our issue. Now you mention it I do see small pop up ads on my desktop but they are small enough to ignore. These are bad as they block the whole page. I certainly won't buy the products!! Are you listening ad spies??? LOL! |
I had to reset my iPad. I really didn't download anything now I have no pop ups. I think it has to do with one of the apps you downloaded |

Ads I have an iPad 2 and it is impossible to delete cookies individually as I believe you can do on the iPad 3 . There is no clear the cache button. I am reluctant to clear all cookies as saved passwords etc may go with them. Funnily enough since I last posted I have seen no ads!!! Perhaps the spies are reading this and feel bad for us. LOL! I guess in the big scheme of things (the fiscal cliff etc), a few ads are not that big of a deal! Good night. ;-)) |
Ok. I get pop ups only here also. How do I clear cookies on the mini? Majority of my apps are children based for my handicap child |
I get them on FB but haven't seen anything here on YT except for the adds at the top of the page just under the YT logo. I've always gotten those. |
