Maybe it is just me because I am tired and don't feel 100% but we seem to be getting an increasing number of questions that are just plain stupid. I know the old saying no question is stupid but it has me bothered and tired.

There are a lot of questions being posted on here in a effort to cause problems. Members are posting questions that they know the answers too.
It just does not make sense- unless you are wanting to cause a rumble between members.

We have breeders/show people asking questions that they know the answers. too We are not talking about wanting a new spin on a idea we are talking common sense items. We have so called newbies stating they want to show or breed and want help evauluating thier dogs- and then the next word out of thier mouths they are talking about handlers they know. If you know handlers they can tell you if your dog is breeding quality.

It is almost like we have folks who are so starved for attention that they are making things up. This hurts that person who really has a good question and wants to learn. It turns off many of us so that we don't respond- cause we do it over and over for the crank questions.

Are we getting more children on the site- who are younger then they should be?

I feel like I have to be a detective and look at each question too closely and it does take the fun out of helping someone who really wants to learn.

and on top of that it's Friday! :D

I know sometimes the questions are unreal and seem to be bait posts. One of the worst ones I have seen is where someone wanted to artifically inseminate his 3 lbyorkie cause the 2lb studs penis was too big for her. How in the world was this dog ever supposed to deliver puppies.

HMMM I'm not sure what question you mean but I hope my question about pricing didn't offend you. I KNOW raising furbabies correctly takes money and time but was just looking for reasons in discrepencies(sp?) in pricing from supposed GOOD breeders. Actually the answers gave me new things to think about, added to the ones I already knew :)

I agree with you!! I admit I do more lurking around than posting, but for me it's a great way to learn a few things and hear fun stories and different perspectives. I just posted a question/situation the other day and really wanted some advice - but nothing. I'm sure it's frustrating for others who have questions important to them.

I happen to agree with you. I see that happening as well as people that are watching every single word some say. I was surprised to hear some come on this board under assumed names just because they want to start trouble. I didn't believe it until it happend to me. I wish people would just grow up and worry about their own lives. Maybe this will help lighten your mood. Think about the types of people that really live off of starting trouble and drama and gossip. They are really pathetic people who really have issues. You kind of feel sorry for them. And those that join under assumed names to start problems well there's no good excuse for that. They are breeders that are ENVIOUS of others and obess over the success of others. I guess we should be thankful we don't stoop to those levels. I would hate myself if I did that and got caught!

Yes, there are a lot of redundant questions being asked and members should use the search guide more...They could be bait questions or just genuine ones as well~~ but they could check the archives first as many, many of these topics have been discussed over and over... You are right!!!! :p

Well, I know my posting has decreased a lot lately and I hadn't really noticed too much more than the normal "off questions" but there are going to happen and I find them pretty easy to spot and usually just ignore them after a few posts because by then they are figured out. :rolleyes:

What I don't like is when someone posts a genuine question asking for honest advice and people jump on them rudely and treat them like they are stupid or ridiculous for asking the question. :( I have seen that happen a lot lately and I think it is rude and intolerant. In my opinion the artificail insemination question was one of those. It was actually Yorkie Rose who mentioned the need for possible dilation to accomodate the penis while we all know that during labor the body transforms and stretches to accomodate and enlarge the birth canal so it wasn't a ridiculous or stupid question at all in my opinion.

Those who have owned yorkies for a while and have a lot of info about them and are members here should share their info willingly and KINDLY to others OVER and OVER again because there will always be newbies to the breed. :) If they get irritated by the SAME questions over and over then stay in the subject areas you prefer and don't respond to the question because it is worse to be mean in the response than to not respond at all or out of irritation in my opinion. We lose good new members that way. :confused:

I know that I have only been on here for about 8 months but I have learned a lot in that time and I get sort of irritated with some of the boring subjects being raised over and over and some days I don't feel like responding at all, but other days when I feel like helping someone out and have the time, I will respond. :)

I forgot to mention that I don't think you can post under a different name as a new member very easily without being caught and I know that several people were caught doing that in the past, but now admin keeps a pretty firm handle to prevent that I think. And, I agree, the people who do that need to "GET A LIFE" for sure!

No one was rude to this poster so I dont know where you are getting that. There is a simple fact though that not all yorkies are meant to be breed since you think its okay to breed tinies I can see why you dont understand that.

Well, this is/was a very nice thread on how some might have felt lately.

I've felt the same as the OP lately. My posting has decreased considerably and I've been selective on what I respond to on the forum.

Yes, the breeders do respond on some posts and I can see why they become frustrated when the same questions are asked over and over. It would be much easier for the new members to use the search feature to see if a topic has been discussed before asking the same question again.

If their topic pertains to something that may have changed recently . . . like more recent reports on dog foods or something similar to that . . . then post a link to the old discussion and ask for new discussions to begin.

I also wonder at times what the purpose is for some of the posts. Flip-flopping is prevalent.

Of couse, this is all JUST MY OPINION.
