It happened twice today - on a different computer... |
We've taken another look at it and don't see anything different. Is this still happening for you? |
It hasn't happened yet today. |

My daughter uses Linux, which also doesn't risk a virus threat. |
Actually what's happening sounds more like malware than a virus. |
It really seems like it was just an attempt at infecting. Computers are fine. Not sure why it is happening to a few people... Yup, eventually Macs will require anti-virus. Right now I've been told by somebody who works IT at a college that there is no way our computers are at risk here. I still have to ask about a malware program though. |
Happened again at 10am EST this morning. It looked like the same site came up when I clicked to come into YT. Then on top of that site a pop-up thing came up telling me I had to take one of their surveys (and fill it out completely). X'ed out of everything, came back to YT and all is fine. This is a totally different computer (on campus). Dell with IE and I assume it is protected extensively. I'm surprised there haven't been more people with the problem. |
Thanks for letting us know again. We believe we have fixed the issue, we are looking for how to prevent this from happening again in the future. |
This also just happened to me. |
