Why was this Thread Closed ?? I am referencing the Thread located at... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ny-yorkie.html "A friend has a extremely tiny yorkie &" This thread was closed today, and with over 80 replies, was probably one of the most active Threads on the Forum. I am personally interested in knowing/being updated on the condition of little Zowie, and mscat's progress in following this issue. I would appreciate it, if you were to Open that thread for further discussion. Thank You, S. W. Houston |
I would like to know how Zowie is doing and if she is going to live and have a chance somewhere at a good life. |

Wow I feel like the rug was just pulled out from underneath me. It is great that the starvation issue is only tapeworms according to what OP heard from the friend that took the dog to the vet because the original owner did not. But it still has me upset that the issue of abuse to the dog, sitting in a crate covered by it's own waste, having tapeworms so no flea medication, and a negligent owner who does not have the time to check on their own dogs or take them to the vet is not addressed. I understand it is not YT's job to resolve this issue. It just seems like the OP is just sweeping the other issues under the rug in order to wrap up the thread (it's only tapeworms) after Lil Sis asked about the Lost Yorkie posts. Sorry I just needed to ask these questions since I I was emotionally drawn into the thread. |
That is what I thought...that the OP requested the thread be closed. Not sure what her reason was for closing it??? It leaves a lot of people who expressed genuine concern for the puppy in the dark. I personally find myself very skeptical about a lot that I read about on the Internet. When details change too much it makes me even more skeptical. Not only referring to this thread, but to anything that I cannot personally verify or that comes from someone unknown to me. People have to use their own best judgement about what to think and believe. Unfortunately, people use forums like this wrongly and take away from what this forum is meant to be. Such is life and there is nothing we can do to change it. Just use our own good sense to protect our emotions when necessary. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now. |

I hope the OP did not wish it closed due to comments like mine,"why would you call this person your friend or want to know this person" I meant nothing negative toward the OP they obvious care but felt awkward in the situation....unfortunately sometime in the best interest of others (children animal the elderly) we need to hurt feelings and deal with awkwardness to ensure the safety of those who cannot ensure their own...(IMO)...and can understand the unfortunate situation the OP is in...maybe she could send updates to those whom show a genuine interest in getting them perhaps private messages if the open forum of this was the issue. Really hope something was done to treat and further provide Zowie a safe, cruelty free, caring environment. |
Excellent point excellent soapbox. I thoroughly agree with Bitsy about protecting one's emotions. It just gets very complicated when like concretegurl mentions it deals with children, animals, the elderly. Where do you draw the line, not get involved. This is really my first involvement with online chatting and exchanging information. I have always chosen to believe in people granted up to a point I am not that naive. I would rather be disappointed in someone than go through life assuming the worst in people because that affects your whole outlook on life. So I am in a learning curve here on YT on how to view emotional threads and to read between the lines. Another life lesson. I do ultimately hope the story was a fabrication. The OP seems to have easily moved on in her posts now that it has been ruled as tapeworms (it still does not address the other issues) while others are still concerned about Zowie. With that in mind I will have to read her future posts with skepticism. :( |
