Test - percentage symbol
 
For some reason, when I type in the percentage symbol - I'm getting something weird -- (test) 10%.

Is anyone else having weirdness with the percent symbol?

It's done that to me a couple of time too, Ann. And I've seen several other posts with a funny string of numbers instead of the % symbol.

Testing - 53%. 87% 91% :D Of course they all look fine, now.

Yes there have been issues with the percentage symbols showing up normally. It is a fluke whether it works or not. It was a very prevalent issue in the Blue Buffalo Preference thread (link below). It would work sometimes and not others and for some people and not others.

Also, yes the grand universe loves to do that... especially with technology. It doesn't work... SEE? Wait... it's fine... nevermind. Then you look like you're crazy :p

Yes Bonny - that's exactly what is happening! I just posted '10%' in health/diet - and it came out as 10&#37. So, I had to re-write it as 10 percent. As if I have the time to write out percent LONG HAND :p.

LOL...it's just like cars making a funny noise.....it never does it when the mechanic is listening.

We have an auto mechanic friend....he loves to get people to make the weird car sounds. Even though he will have an idea of what they are talking about he always asks them to make that noise again and again....it's a source of amusement for him:D

Ann, did you ever figure out what's causing this? I just noticed that a post admin made yesterday in the GE forum has that funny string instead of the % symbol.

Yes, I too was forced to type out the word "percent" here recently. It was a very painful experience for me.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I know how difficult it must've been. The same thing happened to me a few days ago and it was devestating. :D

Still not sure what's going on (yet). It's so odd...sometimes the % works, and sometimes not.

I've noticed it too, I can't remember the last time I saw it as a sign oppossed to code, and I've been to alot of different forums. Meant to PM you but alas... I forgot. This is the first thread I've seen the % appear normally.
