A site for our colored Yorkies? What happened to Biewer Talk? From what I hear it was closed because of all the "drama". Well from what I can see, any thread started from anyone, new or existing, regarding any colored Yorkie, the drama starts and the thread is closed. I just signed in and missed a thread I sure would have liked to add my 2 cents to!!! :rolleyes: What if YT started a spin off for the colored Yorkies, where the ppl who love them, can go and talk and not get bashed and have the threads closed. The ppl who don't care for any other color of Yorkie other than the traditional can just choose not to join there. Problem Solved! |
Brenda that is the best idea i have heard today |
I third the motion!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: |

You think it is bad here? It was 10 times worse there. Breeders from the three American clubs were each taking the Biewer in three different directions at the time. And some of them posted there just to degrade each other, their familes and their dogs. It was no place for a meek person like myself. :angelhalo I signed up for that board to read and learn...but knew better then actually posting on it. I would have been ripped to shreds and eaten a live...something like that poor poster was today on the white yorkie thread. The board was finally closed for good a little while back because all it became was a battle ground for the three clubs to come together and fight over the Biewers. I certainly agree with you...enough is enough. Can't seem to have one decent thread about a parti or even worse...a Biewer yorkie :eek: without it getting heated, closed or both. |
Actually biewer talk was closed because lack of activity.....no one posted there because of the reasons mentioned above. |

Yeah I'm thinking something not just for Biewer's but for ALL colors |
exactly! no one was upset with her, they were upset with the breeder! |
I feel that memebers have just as much right to talk about their colored Yorkies . and I agree enough is enough. If members dont like it Stay out of the threads. |
I would love a Parti colored or a Biewer. I love them! It would be great to either have a section dedicated to them, or even an entire site. |

Even though I don't agree with how some, not all...carried on in that thread...I can agree to disagree concerning it. |

I think it is a great idea!! I too have noticed how most threads with other colored yorkies gets so heated and closed many times. |
I'm in, I would love a place to chat about the Parti's. |
Brenda, Just the very thought of being able to talk about our parti babies without having to constantly defend them sounds heavenly. And you know I will join and participate in any PartiTalk Forum (hey that has a good ring too it guys). However...I plan to stay right here for now. This is Yorkie Talk after all. No matter the color...our babies are yorkies too!!! |
I think it would be great !!! i think the Parti & Biewers are beautiful loving yorkies and i would love to be able to learn more about them. years ago i raised poodles and i was blessed with 1 parti poodle baby and it was beautiful |

Thank you for your suggestion. Members are welcome to discuss parti's, colored Yorkies, or Biewers here at YorkieTalk. All discussion regarding different kinds of Yorkies is perfectly fine here at YorkieTalk, as long as the threads and discussions are civil. We believe YorkieTalk is the best place to discuss Yorkies of all kinds and Yorkie mixes as well. We have always welcomed members with all kinds of Yorkies, purebred or not. Our goal here is to educate and provide a useful resource for parents of all Yorkies. We are not currently planning to open a separate site for different Yorkies at this time. |

Well, it was either Yorkie or the other...more commonly quoted "thing" we all have. :eek: I wisely chose Yorkie. :aimeeyork |
Maybe its just me - but I see lots of great posts about all kinds of breeds here..... granted some get controversial but it isn't the dogs that are controversial - I think it's how the varying colors come about. people here love ALL breeds from what I've seen after being here years now People post about parties - biewers etc all the time - I've seen many threads that were nothing but interesting here. I DO remember Biewer Talk and don't really know what happened but I think like Cindy said - inactivity probably closed it down & based on my memory - yes the different 'clubs' all had differing opinions - but that didn't really spill over to this site (but don't quote me on that :p ) A new breed is always an interesting subject and granted people have opinions - but that's what makes the world go round |
well....I'm caught up & saw the White yorkie thread. I'm a PEON when it comes to the varying colors etc but what I saw in that thread was opinions AND clarification as to why they were offered. When we post on the net - we have to learn to look at the big picture..it's so easy to focus on little things that rub us wrong .... Even though that thread was closed I saw lots of welcomes, compliments and explanations as to why certain people said what they said. I know it's none of my business because I never posted - but things can easily get twisted just by a certain phrase or tone - when basically most everyone has the dogs best interest at heart.... |
I agree V. We were all trying to be welcoming and helpful on that thread! And now, I keep getting visitor messages from her saying that I was typing things I was not. With the exception of that thread, YT has been the best site I have ever found! I love learning about Yorkies of EVERY color! |
