Helpful thread--I hope I remember to look for it next time I try to post pictures!:) |
Ready to shave my face off I have decided that I am a grade A moron. I have downloaded at least fifteen different apps trying to find one that works. And I have so many copies of pictures now that the ones that actually do get accepted I have no clue how I got them to do so or which app I used. Photobucket freezes up on me and I tried a different web image hosting app and it still says too big. Mind you I am working from my iPad and this site doesn't seem to be too Apple friendly. But then I know nothing about editing. I get the pixel size right and still rejects it. I am so frustrated I want to shave my face off. On a positive note, I'm a master at posting videos. Go figure. |

It's all about resizing, so you gotta figure that out. If the photos are on an ipad, you can often take a screenshot of the full-sized photo and then upload the new version.. If you don't know how to do a screenshot, maybe try going to a place like Resize Images online and resizing that way. If you're trying, you're close. Don't give up! Meanwhile, post links to your videos! |
What kills me is I can figure out how to do everything else. What should I set the width at and the kb at for each individual picture? |

Ok I used that resize images online thing resized to 350 pixels and 10 kb and it still won't accept it. What am I doing wrong?its 3 am and I'll be damned if I'm still awake doing this. |
Ugh. Sorry! That should have worked. If you want to try emailing me the pic, I'll shrink and post. mlhome@gmail.com |
Can you post from a cell phone? |
1 Attachment(s) Yes, but the file size has to be less than 200kb, and most smartphones these days shoot at higher. I shrink my iphone photos by doing a screenshot of the high resolution image. This was taken and posted that way. |
Interestingly, the screenshot was 204kb and I couldn't post, so I cropped the screenshot photo a tiny bit and it worked :) |
Trying to attach more than one photo without success... Hi there! I have shied away from posting photos on yt forum for as long as I Have been on here because I am not a tech savvy lady at all and was just pleased I had managed to fumble through my avatar and photo albums (felt great sucess :D that was enough for me, lol) but today I posted my first successful picture in the forums- woo hoo!- and I got to share some of lilah's and my trip to California this last weekend, darnedest thing is- I can only get the attachment page to accept one upload at a time. I have downloaded an app to resize my photos (I use an iphone) and I am so pleased, it is super easy- bit with no explanation it will only attach one. If I try to attach another it will simply replace the photo it had previously accepted. I am so excited to enter lilah's pictures into the Halloween photo contest but I do not want to rudely take up three lines in a row- I would love some advisement if it is available, thanks all! |

So to clarify (remembering that I am tech slow here) when I try to upload a photo file from my iphone it does not consider it to be standard photo upload (like a JPEG) instead it considers files directly uploaded from my phone to be from a URL? Like a website? So instead of attaching thee file to the attach buttons- which is what I was doing but as stated it would only allow one photo at a time- I should be using that bar you showed me on your photo to attach my photos? In which case I don't know wha URL I would use since they are files directly on my phone...do you know how I would figure that out? Pardon my ignorance in this matter. I noticed your photo looked different than mine as well, perhaps I can attach the image of what my screen looks like when I am attempting to upload photos.... Perhaps I can just beg pardon and take up three replies! |
