I read this this morning http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17163 maybe this is why things are so slow |
Sorry for the slowdown today, we are experiencing some slowness today, and it is a result of the power outages from yesterday. We have told the techs to work on it and troubleshoot the problem. But at least slow YT beats NO YT, right? ;) We are again looking to get a new server for YorkieTalk, as we just keep growing and growing everyday because of our great members and our current server is straining a bit now. :) |
Very S L O W |

Admin, you are right!!! It may be slow, but Yorkie Talk is a go!!!! |
I'm glad to know it's not my computer. |
Same problem here.. extremely slow. |
Hi all. Still running slow for me today. I get around some of it by opening pictures in a "New Window". (Just right-click the link and select "New Window"). It's not slow enough for me to turn on "Wife Swap". Ewwwww! I'm not a TV watcher, but I can only assume it's a cable program. LOL Keep up the good work, admin folk! |
Yes! GGGRRRR! It's been running slow since the power outage they had in LA |
i feel like I have dial up :( :( . I am the worlds most impatient person too. I keep hitting buttons because I think my computer is frozen. I am so sad |
Thank you for putting up with us. We *think* they've addressed the issue, as the site is back to normal speed at least at this hour. The power outages in LA really did affect us a lot! We really need to purchase another server for y'all! And soon too! |
Careful there, Shanatink. :aimeeyork I had a friend who got tendonitis doing a similiar thing. While vacationing in Hawaii :ip: he would use the hotel's computer :computer: in the morning. He got so frustrated with the slow pace that the web pages would load. He would continuously refresh and click, click, click for an hour or more. He told me later, while wearing a hand brace, that he would have been diagnosed as obsessive-compulsive at the time. :embarasse A year later, he still has trouble with the right wrist/hand he uses for intricate work in his medical profession. :tinyheart I'm sure this wouldn't happen to you, but thought it was worthy of mentioning. :tinyheart (Emoticons are fun to use when I'm caffeinated!) :rollingey P.S. No worries, admin. We'll hang in there. (I would add a smilie, but I\'ve received the warning "You have included too many images in your signature or in your previous post. Please go back and correct the problem and then continue again." Der. |
