Trying to break the record - Questions for Admin Admin, Hopefully you have seen the thread http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...yt-record.html - We're going to try and wipe out the old record of Most YorkieTalk members ever online was 207, on 04-13-2008 at 6:35PM PDT. We are going to break the record on Sunday March 8 6:30 pm PST • 7:30 pm MST • 8:30 pm CST • 9:30 pm EST But a couple questions have come up: 1) If someone logs on and walks away from their computer will YT log them off after a certain amount of inactivity? How long before this would happen? 2) How often do you get a report on the activity? Last year, the record was set 5 minutes after our appointed log on time :) -- how long do you think we should recommend that people stay on YT to hit a high point? 3) Any advice you have? I'm hoping we have at least 400 members this time - that's less than 1% of yorkie members. |
I think it's after 15 minutes of inactivity, you're logged off. :) |

I just put it in my siggy!! Hope we get more than 207! :D :2party: :cheer: |
Admin one more question!! Admin, I also want to know if you can do a screen shot or a copy & paste of all the people online - the user names - when we hit that magical moment? |
The timeout period is 15 minutes. We would recommend everyone refresh a YorkieTalk thread or refresh from the forums page once every five minutes and we recommend everyone stay on for about 30 minutes from the time the record breaking time starts. The currently online users stat box continuously refreshes each time the main forums page is loaded. We can take a screenshot if the record is broken and paste it in the thread or members may take their own screenshots if they would like. :) |
Thank you Admin!! Hope you will be joining us next Sunday evening! |
