Another Avatar Question
 
When I use the blingee pictures for my avatar, how come there not animated? Like the one I have now the leaves are supposed to be falling, but there not. What am I doing wrong?:confused: Or, do they just not work for the avatar? Thank you for your help!!:)

I tried again with the christmas blingee's I am making. It's still not animated.

We know members have created animated GIFs that work by themselves, we're not quite sure what format Blingee may use. There are limits to filesizes for YorkieTalk avatars, that could be the reason they may not be working for you.

You can use a blingee for an avatar, but it must be resized to fit Yorkietalk limits. You can do this in the photoscape program, if you have it, or if you want just post the blingee as an attachment to this thread, and I'll resize if for you.

No, that just is where they are located on your computer. They are usually located online at the Blingee site, and you could link me that page. If you can't find it, you could upload them to an album at Yorkietalk that you created, or you can upload them to Photobucket. The last resort is e-mail, do you know how to email them?

Oh I just saw your profile page, it's wonderful, and it looks like you know how to upload pictures to an album, so do that, and then you can post them on a profile page or link them.

Yay, but unfortunately they are in an album that must be marked profile, cause I can 't see it. No problem just click on the picture from the album and it will take you to a page that gives the "url" or "IMG" code, paste either one on my page, the Url will post as a link, and the IMG code will post as a picture, but either one will work, and I will resize them.

Or you can "edit" that album and mark it public, until I get the pictures.

Well good news bad news. The good news is you did paste them on my page. The bad news is that when you saved them on your computer, you saved them as a jpeg file, this is a file with one picture. The bleegees have at least two pictures, and need to be saved as a .gif file. Mine automatically save them as a gif file, and I don't know why yours didn't.

If you go to the blingee site, they usually save all the gifs you've made, find the gifs you want resized, click on them and post that link on my page. While the blingee site will resize a gif, it still wont be within YT standards.

Also when you see them on your computer are they moving?

I don't understand why they are jpeg, when I put the mouse over the pics it say's there gifs:confused:

Yeah, they do move on my computer, every where except my avatar.
I sent you a pm with the link to my blingee page. I hope this is it, because I'm starting to get on my own nerves!!:eek:

Ok, I'm only guessing, but because your Bingees are a really big file size, they are even too big for the Yorkietalk albums. To upload a gif that size to someones page you would have to post the link Blingee gives you or upload it to Photobucket and use their link. Yorkietalk's limit is "Maximum File Size per Picture 195.3 KB" and for the avatar the limit is only 53 KB. So I had to take out quite a few of the pictures to enable you to use it as an avatar. Even with the pictures taken out, I think it looks pretty good. Most of the Blingees I've made only had three pictures in them, yours had 15 and for Yorkietalk avatar 7-8 is the limit.

Here they are, just click on the avatar, and wait for it to move and then save it to your computer. Then you can upload it as your avatar, if you wish.
