what color? I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in OT so I hope I guessed right. Would anyone mind visiting my profile page and telling me what background color the text areas are? The area that show my visitor messages shows light pink for me and the text box to leave a message is darker pink. I was on my mom's computer last week and it showed as light and dark orange which didn't match my background picture at all. I'm wondering which of us has the messed up monitor. Thanks!:) |
The area where I type a message is a blush pink and the visitor messages background is a flesh color- more orange then pink. (Those are the areas you are talking about right??) |

Yep- thanks. How on earth do you know if your monitor is right? I adjusted my color settings like instucted when I first got this monitor but it never looked right so I got my husband to set it to match his laptop screen which looked good. On my mom's monitor everything was really orange so I'm guessing her's is more messed up than mine. |
Maybe it just depends on the computer, brand, etc. |
It would just be nice to know that what you think people are seeing is what they really are seeing, you know? Like the orange I was seeing was ugly and I sure wouldn't put an orange pink with a blue pink. Nothing like letting the little things get to you right?:p Okay, if anyone else is nice enough to check for me I would really appreciate it. It would be interesting to see how different all of our monitors are. |

Neat page, you look like a love child, the area for the text box, is what I would call a good blush color, or peach, and the visitor messages background is a cantaloupe color. |

I see cantaloupe text boxes with olive colored text. Hope that helps! :) |

Just checked the text and it's sort of grass green for me. I was going for lime but it was too hard on the eyes and I had to go darker. |
I don't think I see any pink when I'm looking at it, more towards the peachy tones. Your text color seems a little on the yellow side of green. I'm wondering if your computer is showing you more of the blue tones instead of the yellow tones. |
I just changed my message background to what looks to me to be pale yellow with a slight green undertone. I'll probably give the whole thing an overhaul later this week. |

We got this monitor about a year ago and it is a no name brand. I couldn't tell any difference in the store so we went with it (my dd and I are really the only ones who use this computer) but now I'm thinking maybe we got what we paid for.:p I've had my husband play with the colors for me twice now and I guess it still isn't right. |

Light blue now. Y'all just ignore me- I'm all over the place. |
1 Attachment(s) It looks like the background now matches the printing on the "make love not war" picture. Almost exactly the same, if not the same. The color of your message board that I call peach, was analyzed with the paint program and the picture I uploaded tells you the exact properties. I can't ignor stuff like this. |

Okay, changed the pink. On the laptop is is now a lighter version of the pink in the peace symbol. Does that sound right? |
2 Attachment(s) Yeah the blue is great, and the pink is much closer to pink than it was before. The pink of the message board has a little more yellow than the pink of the peace symbol, in other words, to lighten it, more yellow was added than just plain white, but it still goes well. I'm not sure how many options you have if your just using YorkieTalk's color-codes. If you want a particular color you could make one in a paint program, and upload that color to an album, that is if you are as anal as some of us. Here are the two colors, first is the pink of message board, and second is the pink of peace. |
Here's a link to some color codes. Here's a link to some color codes. Do you noticed the two different colors? The first one is your peace symbol slightly lighter. It name is #FE23C0. The second color is just the choice that YT gives on the forum called Magenta. It looks like you could use any color code, without having to upload a "picture" of that color. I learned a new trick. Here are some links. This one be sure and put # before the code. Web Color Chart - Hexadecimal - by VisiBone HTML color codes So You Want A Basic Color Code, Huh? |
