Censored PMs?
 
I've always thought PMs were private communication until today... are our PMs monitored and censored? And if so, why? I can understand moderation on threads but why PMs :confused:

Not sure, and it's only hearsay.... PMs are monitored.

I ask admin this and he said they aren't censored unless there is a problem. They can be read if need to be.

I had PMed a member asking for a website address. She PMed me back and the website address was replaced by a bunch of asterisks. Why those PMs be picked out and looked at and then censored?

why does that matter? and how would they know what I was asking unless they read my PMs first..and why would they choose to single my PM out to read anyway? I'm just confused...and still surprised our PMs are not private

Certain words or phrases or websites are not allowed in posts or in PMs, and thus are replaced by asterisks. We do not allow promotion of other Yorkie forums here in our community.

Private Messages are not monitored, but they can be retrieved from the server if need be if there is a problem with a PM or a member, or if YorkieTalk rules are being broken.
