threads with no posts Is there a way to search for threads with no posts here? another forum i'm on has that option and it makes it easier to help people who's questions are overlooked. |
I don't know, but I'm bumping this up for you so you can get an answer and also, so you don't have zero posts :D |

I don't know how, if there is a way.. |
I haven't seen this option at YT, but I think it's a great idea! |
I've seen that option on other forums, too; but forgot about it for here! It is a great idea :thumbs26: |
When you're in a forum, you can click on the "Replies" heading. The only problem is it puts the high replies first, and you have to go to the last page to get the ones with zero replies. Because there are so many, it's hard to find recent ones with low/no replies. And the dates are all over the place. A better way is to use the advanced search function. You can tell it that you're looking for "at most" XX replies, and you can put a date range in also. |
Yes, For My Coby suggests the perfect way to search for threads with no replies. Thank you! :) |
ok so there is a way, but if someone doesn't tell you how to do it your probably not going to figure it out. other forums have a link on top right next to a link for your posts, and threads your watching. much easier. oh well.... |

OK, I must be doing it wrong. I've tried several times, and just get the "no match for your search"..... |
I can't figure it out either. |
I just did this.... Go to "Search" in the blue toolbar at the top and choose "Advanced Search" (instead of typing in a word). Then under Search Options (the second section): In the "Find Threads With" option, pull down and select "At Most" and put in "5" for "Replies" In the "Find Posts From" option, pull down and select "Yesterday" and "Newer" You can leave everything else blank or as it is. Hit the "Search Now" button. I get five pages of new threads with less than 5 posts. Do you?? |

If you can get this to work, then you can choose different forums to search in or other parameters, but I just wanted to make sure you could get this to work in the first place. ;) |
