I am having a big problem getting the pages to load. It started this morning. Whatever I click on, post, private message, photo gallery, even search, it always takes me to a blank white page. If I hit the refresh button while still looking at the blank page, it will then go ahead and load. I have this forum on my toolbar for quick access, but it even happens when I try and click on that just to be able to get to the forum. I tried typing in yorkietalk.com instead of using my shortcut but it still did it. I even rebooted my computer, emptied my cache, cleaned out my cookies, you name it and nothing helped. If I am the only one having this problem, then it must be my computer. But if there is anything you can tell me to do to try and fix it I would be grateful. Thanks Bunches, |
I too have had problem with getting a blank page when I use my bookmark for Yorkietalk.com. It says is its done loading but the page is blank. I have to try over and over before the site pops up. |
I have that problem too. :( I have to hit the refresh button and then it pops up just like you have to do! So, at least now you know it's not just your computer. |
I think it is called growing pains. Running a site like this takes money . . . not a little bit money but a good bit. Site upgrades also take time. Just remember that we are enjoying a "FREE" site. You do not have to contribute financially to post and read here. Glitches will happen along the way. |

Thanks for letting us know, feedback, good AND bad, are important! That said, we BELIEVE the problem of the blank pages (mainly from bookmarks) has been fixed. Please let us know if it hasn't. There was a configuration error (our error) when we upgraded the main front page of YorkieTalk to add in the new features. Hopefully it will all work fine again, if not, we may revert back to the old version, which seemed to be bug free. From the sounds of it, most of the errors came from going to the MAIN http://www.YorkieTalk.com page, is that correct? We will also try to do any site maintenance and upgrades late at night so we can be the least disruptive (I think probably past midnight Pacific Time) to our users. Thanks for letting us know what exact problems you have been having. |
I am still getting a blank page for everything that I click on. Just like right now when I hit the reply button to post this message I got a blank page and had to hit the refresh button. Just to be clear, I am in no way complaining because I too love and enjoy this site. I realize there is alot that goes into making this forum run smoothly. I am only reporting the problem in case no one realized what was happening. I will be more than glad to be patient while all the kinks are worked out. |

I've noticed the past week or so when I log onto Yorkie Talk it brings up that same white page many posters are describing. I just hit the refresh key and Yorkie Talk pops right up. Im not sure why it has been doing it and haven't given it much thought, Im just thankful I can continue to get my Yorkie Talk fix. :D |
Just FYI, the white page thing is happening for me too - I just have to refresh and YT comes up. |
For the time being, we've reverted to an older version of the front page, so hopefully no more blank pages! |
