You need to figure out on minute they are great the other terrible! I feel so bad for your poor dogs! |
I also think rehoming is the thing to do in this situation. You seem beyond stressed out and extremely frustrated and it hasn't even been that long since you've had the puppy. You keep talking about how the dog is so old and "bad". If you already view him as a bad dog, that IS what he will be, I'm sorry but that's how I really feel. 5 months is hardly old, and still completely trainable. Maybe you just aren't ready for another dog -- because you could have ended up with a yorkie puppy who does the same things as the one you have now. The nuetering will help with the marking and possible level out their hormones towards each other -- but they still need major training. If you do plan to keep this yorkie you need to call a certified behavoirist to get help with the aggression. Also, are you sure it's agression when the yorkie bites or is it mouthing? Mine bit as they were playing up until 6-7 months old, and I had to train them that biting = no. |

OUCH! I really feel bad for this boy. I'm sorry but I have thought your temper off since the first day you posted and knew that the puppy would feel it too. I heard and felt your dislike for this little guy from the second he set foot in your house. He never had a chance there. I am almost positive this is why he is biting you. He feels your anger toward him and does not feel secure at all. Your feelings are just making things worse for his behavior. Again, I am sorry, if you look back at my posts you will see that I never post my thoughts so harshly but I am worried sick by the posts from you and really hope that you will call the breeder and tell her she needs to take him back if she won't then I am sure that there are any number of people here on this forum that will take him and give him the patient training he needs. :( To everyone, I apologize for speaking my mind so openly on this one. I hope you will all forgive me... |

I must say when I first got Autumn she was almost 5 1/2 months old. She was new to me and my family and we were VERY new to her. It took time, love and complete patience but she is fully trained and the best addition we have ever had. I always say she was the best gift I ever bought for myself. Did she have accidents - of course, she's a dog and she is in a new home. She was not aware of what was expected of her nor should she be. I also had received my pug at 5 months (they can be very very hard to train) and we had no problems with him. I truly think if you are not willing to be patient w/your pup and give it the time it needs then you should rehome him. You seem to be expecting miracles and it is not going to happen. Im sorry if you feel that everyone is ganging up on you but if you curse that much in your threads how do you think we must think you speak to your four legged friends. I wish you the best of luck and hope everything works out for all of you! |

I don't know where you live, but you could send him to me. You've been a member since the 16th of Nov. and have 35 posts a day so apparently you have alot of time on your hands...why not spend some of it with the new pup??? |

Soccby, since it is illegal where you live to have a dog neutered before 12 months, how did you find a vet to neuter at 5 months? |
