excessive sneezing? I have one dog that has been sneezing quite a bit. She is eating fine, stools are fine, she's playing and drinking water... everything else is normal. Now two of my others are starting to sneeze. Any ideas? Could it just be a cold? I don't think it is allergies since they are all starting to sneeze. They haven't been around any other dogs or anywhere public to pick something up. Not sure if I should be concerned or not. |
No one has any idea?????   |
Maybe something in the yard??? Brandy does a lot of sneezing when she is outside in the yard going potty and that is the only time she does. I have some society garlic in a flower bed and it seems when she gets near it, the sneezing starts. Do you have any flowering plants at the moment in the yard??? Yet the other two are not bothered by it. |

Thanks :) |
You are welcome, I'd be interested to know if it will make a difference once the flowers are gone!.........let me know. The society garlis is almost done blooming as well and I've noticed less sneezing. Weird, huh? |
mine starting sneezing and then it led to coughing; I took them to the vet and he said they have upper respriratory infections. Cocoa has started throwing up too (I think the antibiotic upsets his stomach) so, I've got to get a call in to the vet first thing in the morning. It may be the same thing your dogs have. |
It sounds like there is a lot of coughing and sneezing going around. How the heck can they get it if they are not around other dogs??? I mean, if they just stay at home, they can still get it? |
Sneezie Sneezing can also be a form of communication. Our yorkie almost never barks. He can bark but instead, he chooses to sneeze to tell us something. For ages we thought he had allergies, but no, it's his way of talking. His exclamations, his happiness or dissatisfaction depending on the type of sneeze. He has a cold right now, and the sneezes of his cold are completely different. I used to think he was unique in this but since, I've found other yorkies who do exactly the same thing...it's actually really cute and a lot easier on the ears than a bunch of yapping. I hope that that is what your otherwise healthy yorkie has, just a cute habit. Take care. |
allergies maybe? |
Well, I'm thinking now it was some kind of bug going around cause all my dogs got it and now they are all fine, thank goodness. :) I've never seen a Yorkie sneeze to communicate! That would be funny to see. |
