I would take away the bullysticks. Mine have never been aggressive with them but if they were I would take them away

Boy, they sure love those things. I can't give the girls those very often, since they have to be supervised. They haven't fought, but Izzy will take Luna's away, so Luna reacts by trying to swallow the thing whole:laugh: There could be 10 bullies and Iz wants every last one of them:rolleyes:

I guess Bella is just too lazy. I see a little of the end chewed...it lays around for a day then i throw it out.

I agree with edumma... I bought a big bag of BIG sticks and lay them all out. It certainly stopped the fights. There's always another one available. I got the bigger sticks so they can't swallow them and I throw them away when they get small enough to choke them. I hated not given them to them, but their teeth were getting plaque build-up quicker by not having them to chew on. Now that I gave them back, their teeth look better. And the fighting stopped.

I think bully sticks are one of the best treats for our little ones. They will not break off and get stuck in the throat. I also buy the 12" ones, and it goes in the garbage when it gets down to 1-2". Their throats are so tiny, we do not want them to choke. I would not cut them down. Just my opinion.:animal-pa

Geesh, 1st Molly and Zoey (Adult Chi) got into a HUGE fight. A SERIOUS one.

Dang - I don't want to have to keep them seperated in their bedroom :( But what if something like this happened while I was at work??? Seriously the way they were fighting , someone could be killed :( :(

ARGH this breaks my heart seeing them do this!!!!!

Any suggestions???


Are you referring to bull pizzle the dried penis of the bull? I give mine that right now and separated them as I didnt like the growling. Separate them

I usually give them to them in their crates. They are very high value treats and someone will always steal someone else's if I don't.

I have a "select" 1 or 2 of my babies who are aggressive so I decided to only give them when they are not in the room :) Everything is fine now! :thumbup:

My little male wants all the treats. So, they get the special treats for a little while, then they are taken away. At the first sign that he is getting aggressive, I take the treat away. They really are a lot like children - unfortunately at the toddler age where they don't want to share.
