Help!!! Shaking...yelping All of a sudden baby started shaking and breathing heavily & when i went to touch his stomach he would yelp. I took him to a local vet on saturday and he told me if could be a gas problem to give him some mylanta which I just looked at him like he was crazy. I called his vet today & they will see him! Has this ever happened to anyone's yorkie. I don't know what it could be everytime someone goes to pick him up he starts shaking and yelps. He's walking fine, eating at times HELP!!!! |
I don't know what it could be. I just want to let you know that I'm saying a prayer for your little one. good luck |

Does his tummy hurt when you touch it....Could be Pancreatitis.....but, there are other symptons that go along with it......I'm sure you're getting him to the vet. |
Hey there so I took Baby to the vet yesturday as soon as the vet touched his back he yelped so the vet said that he might have jumped off of something and hurt his back. so they took him in and did some blood work and also gave him a shot to help with the back pain other then that he was completely healthy. As soon as we got home I put baby on the ground and he was back to his normal self. It was pretty scary not knowing what was wrong and then the other vet I took him to telling me it was gas problems good thing I decided to go get him checked out again vet also mentioned he could have gotten paralyzed if I didn't bring him in. So I will get the blood work results today hopefully nothing is wrong with him. Now I just have to watch him and not let him jump from anything which he has already tried. thanks for the prayers! |
Prayers coming your way from Ms Abigail and I. Yes, so glad your "mommy" radar activated and you didn't listen to that first silly vet! |
Glad he is feeling better..hope it keeps up. Tina |
Your post concerns me. If your puppy is having a back problem, with the pain shot he got, he has a false sense of feeling fine and then can hurt it more by running or playing or going up or down steps. My daughter's yorkie is having a back problem right now and the vet told my daughter to keep Kirby in his crate and only take him out to potty now and then...to carry him out and to carry him back in when he's done. She can also sit with him on her lap and put some heat on his back. With Kirby, last week he had a protruding disc and this week it had ruptured. It is now pushing into the spinal cord and if it severs it, he would be paralyzed. I'm not meaning to scare you...just wanted to tell you that it is important to keep them quiet so it can heal without doing further damage. Sending get well wishes to little Baby! |
