My Maverick loves to hump his Shrek toy. He's three and has been neutered since 7 months. We travel and only make it home every six months or so, and the first thing he does is run to the corner where Shrek is. He's shy, if you talk to him while he's doing it he'll hang his head and walk away. He never humps other people or dogs, except once when a female was going out of heat, he humped her a few times once and them quit on his own. My vet said it wasn't really very good for him to do so much humping, but since we are home so rarely I don't have the heart to take it away from him completely. He doesn't seem to miss Shrek while we are gone. Whitney |
[QUOTE=luv_my_yorkies;1414627] About twice a week, he pulls her out of his toy bin by the ear and "has personal time" with her. after the "deed" he licks her and literally falls asleep on her sometimes. :yelrotflm He sounds more considerate than alot of human men lol at least he doesnt pour a beer and light a cigarette aswell....lol :) |

My girl actually humps, my boy doesn't at all. He was neutered at 6 months of age and he hasn't humped anything ever, he's 1 years old. My girl humps Spot, the Court TV dog..lol..I personaly wouldn't take it away for good because then he'll just find something else to call his girlfriend. Just give it to him every once in a while. |
Sophie would also "hump" and it became habitual. The vet told me to take away her friend because it was a learned habit. She finally stopped... |
Sometimes the hair can get stuck inside and [I know it's yucky] but just maneuver the skin into place. A bit of lube would held.;) |
Chester humps a few toys but while he is on his back, his wee wee seems to stick out a while but goes back in, they say humping is when they are bored as well, chester was neutered when he was 6 months old, and humps nothing else but his toys |

We must all remember that males aren't the only ones that do it. My mother's Maltese has a lavendar Care Bear that she "man-handles" quite frequently. I believe the bear has a rainbow on it's tummy. It's gotten a couple of tears in it and is missing an ear but my mom has managed to sew "Lavendar" back together. After Lily "does her deed", she grabs poor Lavendar by the butt and tosses it around! Talk about aggression! :D :D |
Personally I think males should be neutered unless your showing and breeding. Humping should be nipped in the bud as soon as it starts before it gets to be nothing more than a habbit. Help him out by not giving him the stuffed cat or any other stuffed toy. |
