Yellow Vomit Hello yall' Bella is vomiting 4 times in 3 hours..quarter size amounts that are yellow and foamy in color. I mean yellow like a Crayola crayon yellow. She is very sleepy and wasn't interested in the chicken and rice i cooked up for her. Does anyone have any suggestions...the vet closed at 6 and the ER vet doesnt open until 7:30.. |
do you have nutrical or kyro syrup on hand? |
yes I have nutrical |
They often do this when they have an empty stomach, try to get her to eat something. |
give her some not a lot but like a pea sized amount on your finger. this will help her appetite and also if she has low sugar this should boost her up |
But she wont eat..her favorite is chicken and rice..and she looked and walked the other way and went to lay down... :( |
okay i am trying the nutrical now'.. thank you all for quick responses! I wish she could say, "mommy it hurts here." Its hard when I know she isn't feeling well but don't know what to do. |
also if she wont eat the nutrical then rub it on her tongue or gums |
okay she wont take the nutrical from my finger...??? |
look at above post |
that didn't work either..i am going to try some tums? like a 1/4 of one |
are Tums and Rolaids the same? |
I am not a vet, so please don't take this as medical advice. This is what I would do if it was Ellie. If she had eaten in the morning I would withhold food until the next morning. I would make sure she was getting karo syrup (Nutrical) even if I had to pry her mouth open and put it on her tongue. If she threw up too many more times I would call the ER vet. If she is just groggy I would wait until morning and if she wasn't feeling better I would call the regular vet. The whole time I would be force syringing water. That's just me though. |
just give her nutrical not tums! its going to just happen in seconds! give it a little time! if in a couple of hours shes not a little better give her some more. |
give her nutrical |
One of my yorkies does this when he has an upset tummy. It is bile that they are vomiting, my vet always recommended bland foods like chicken baby food or alittle rice cooked in chicken broth. If they keep vomiting, then I would take them in. |
